Hi everyone,

I love reading the trip reports on here and have posted one previously, this time I have another trip report - however this one is two and a half weeks long because this Christmas I worked at Disneyland Paris! You definitely get a diffferent view of the resort when you're a cast member. I hope you enjoy it.

It all starts with day 1. And then you can click through to different days from there onwards.

Day 1 - http://www.mepipe.com/2011/12/working-a ... -16th.html

Due to there being some bits of backstage chat those who dont want to know what characters really are like on their breaks may want to shy away.

If that's not a problem -  enjoy!

There's also not a tonne of photos as I'll be adding those later after having written all 18 days up.

Enjoyed reading this, I would have loved to have worked at DLP but sadly I'm too old now, used to be a Cast Member in the UK working at the Disney Store which I loved for two and a half years.  Looking forward to reading the rest plus seeing some pics sometime soon.

Thanks for this.................some interesting behind the scenes revelations =D>

Then it was over to Buffalo Bills Wild West SHow in the village - the show was fine but there was no storyline at all and the cast were American which was brilliant for us Brits but they butchered the French language so much it was unbelievable.

I bet our French friends were impressed with that

Glad you have enjoyed reading it. Just 2 more days left to type up now. Two exciting days as well.

I couldn't stop laughing at the Americans attempting french at the WWS with no attempt at an accent at all.

On another note, you guys have been busy 1500+ page views today already on my DLP articles haha

Well funny you say that, I was talking to an elderly Dutch lady who grew up in California with the original Disneyland and she was there for its opening and had always wanted to work there. She lived there for years and eventually moved back to the Netherlands and was excited when EuroDisney opened up almost 20 years ago and now that she has retired and her kids have grown up and gone off to work she spoke to her husband who said that if she wants to do it: why not? and she worked at DLP for 2 weeks over Christmas!

So you never know, your dream job may still become a reality!

Very interesting read gldc, especially from a Cast Members perspective..  ;)  :D

Thanks for sharing..

I must admit the seven times we have been there, 'Casey Junior' and the 'Storybook' seemed to be closed the most during the day in Fantasyland.

By the way I'd heard of the 101 code for Attraction Closure, I liked the 44 one for fainting..

How many codes are there altogether that are used..  :-k

Thanks and you're welcome!

Yeah it really is only open in the high high season, i think it's almost like an overflow attraction in case the park's very full and they anticipate a lot of guests. Shame as they are both very nice kids rides.

I'd say there's probably around 20-30 codes in total, they actually introduced a new one on my first day of work there haha.

Well... multiply that by 5 and you might have a better idea...  ;) Only a handful of them are used by regular CMs, though.
