The Bear is cool but the product range at the parks outside of Tokyo is very poor. But I like the new Jedi costume and hoping its going to be available soon in Paris.

Back on topic Pluto and Daisy absence from the Parade is a strange one indeed. Especially since both have 20th Anniversary costumes and are featured in the Train. Claurice also has a costume.

I don't dislike Duffy being on the parade. In fact I think his story is really lovely. However the story isn't well known, I wouldn't have known who he was if I'd not read about him on this forum. In my opinion his story should have been advertised much more than it has, seeing as he is playing such a prominant role in the new parade. I know that when I go in June, everyone I'm going with will be saying 'who's that bear?'
There is always going to be some characters that you will believe should play a part on the parade, personally I think Hercules, Phil and Meg should be there, but I have learnt to live with their absence now and expect nothing more  ;)  Perhaps further down the road Pluto and Daisy will play a part on the parade......

I personally just don't think he deserves to be on the finale float, and that's coming from someone who actually quite likes Duffy. He's taking up some valuable space there, where Daisy/Pluto should be. I don't have a problem with him being in the parade, he should just have his own carriage or be elsewhere - not taking the place of beloved characters known for decades.

While I totally agree with you, I don't think that it'll last. Very often new characters are introduced or become popular for a short period of time. When the park first opened there was a giant float with minnie, goofy etc all riding in planes with the gummy bears. The gummy bears also featured on the castle finale float with mickey in Florida around the early 90s.

It's not uncommon in Tokyo Disneyland for unusually popular characters such as Marie from the Aristocats to ride on a float with the main five too.

I certainly don't think Duffy is well known enough to be on the finale float, and actually if he MUST be on it HE should be the one riding in the cubby hole in the back. Somehow though, I don't think he'll keep his position for too long. I know that the parks are trying to introduce him as a character in his own right, and putting him on the finale float is just exposure, sort of like advertising. He's not quite popular enough to be the "flavour of the month", so he'll either gain momentum and then gradually fade out completely, or he could prove to be popular enough to keep as a character, but one who stays very much in the background. I don't even expect the meet and greets to last. In five years time, it's very possible that people could be saying: "hey, do you remember duffy?". You never know. I just see his current position in the parade to be nothing but a commercial, and something which has been happening in Disney Parks for years.

Here's the second video of Disney Magic on Parade! I filmed, as seen on its opening day 1st April 2012:

Tinkerbell seems to be only a part-time feature. Anyone know if she has appeared again at the end since the 31st?

I read on twitter it's due to a shortage of "friends" of tink. Therefore she's only in the parade a couple of days a week. Hopefully they get it sorted soon!

Yeah, my guess is a hands-free segway.

Looks tricky.
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you, tomorrow,... You're always a day closer to my next Disney trip!

I assume that pole has a saddle at the end of it? Otherwise, one wrong move and that could cause an injury! I was wondering if it wasn't just rollerskates, covered by the dress. Little steps with that could also create their glide! Either way, I like them a lot, a really cool start to the parade!

Oh it was lovely - we were there yesterday, and LOVED It - Tink was there looking beautiful too!

My son was so excited to see Peter Pan, but said his favourite was the Mad Hatter, who had a fantastic character!

i think i just miss the Princess Parade :( Dancin' A Catchy Rhythm, Steamboat Willie, Jasmine and Aladdin on their magic carpet, Belle holding the Beasts hand and twirling around, all of it really. That will always be my favourite.

Well seeing it in real , the first time it was good but the parade hasn't got much suprises in it and the same choreo so after the third time I really thought "Did I really waited almost 2 hours for this 10 minutes parade?" Something OUADP was good in , alot more diffrent music + diffrenct choreo , so it isn't again and again the same parade, to say it in short : If they're planning to run it for 5 years they really need to find a way of putting the "oh, never saw that" effect in it.

Yes, it is sad that there are no more the differents songs for each float. Not to mention the stops..... I prefer much better the stops of the first version of Once Upon a Dream Parade, not the ones during Magical Moments Festival.....
