You see that little logo at the bottom, WET? Efteling are working with WET Design, the company behind some of the innovative water effects in World of Color. You can't get better than WET Design; they created the Fountains of Bellagio!

So, Efteling's show could actually be REALLY good. So good that it might actually make Dreams look a little bit small and unimpressive in comparison!

I've been very excited for De Efteling's offering, and it is likely to have new music rather than recycled clips a la Disney. I do wonder if they will do anything with the Fata Morgana building? I am nervous for dreams, although steve davison being at the helm makes me feel a little more comfortable.

While I'm excited for Dreams, I think it's really something the Resort has needed for a long time and will undoubtedly be very impressive. I am a bit more interested in Efteling's version, because I think it'll be done with the quality and charm of Disney as it was back in 1994.

Both shows would be draws for me, plus since my last visit Efteling has a huge new show arena, interactive storybook tree, and a duelling wooden coaster I've yet to get a chance to ride! Since I was last at Disneyland, they've added, er. Well they took away a show and repainted things.

Dreams is gonna need to be amazing to beat the Efteling version.

It's gonna be our own World of Colour. I cannot wait to see it in Cal next year and then this version a month later.

Although it's just a World of Color advert with the DCA background removed and replaced with the DLP Castle, it is still one of the nicest adverts we've seen from Disney for years. Play a version ending with the show logo instead of the holidays messages on UK tv, and I'm sure people would sit up and listen. It looks professional for once.

According to @InsideDLParis they were testing the laser projections last night. Seems they are getting it all sorted early to avoid any hiccups at launch.

How on earth are they going to manage the effects of wind? Even a relatively small fountain will get a fair amount of 'blow' I'd guess they would have to clear a fairly wide area from the presentation areas to avoid soaking the audience.
We're going again next Xmas (DW set on staying at DLH again so no trip before unfortunately) and I really hope they get something they can bill all year round, hopefully with seasonal/event overlays etc.

Well, this is a significant concern to Davison and the team, hence the rigourous testing. But the RISK log is not looking great. Firgers crossed they can get things to work properly.

When we were in DLP last month a CM told us that the plan was to have fountains going as high as the top of the castle - something we all found hard to believe. I wonder if they may end up doing two versions of the show, one with fountains and one without? It would take a lot away from the show, and it's advertising, to have no water, but in the cold and windy winter months it may just not be practical.

That's a smart idea Steve. Yes, considering the strong winds and freezing cold weather, it would be wise to have two different versions of Dreams: Wet Dreams and Dry Dreams.
