I am unsure. I don't know how it would work. I would rather see Mary Poppins or The Lion King before I make any assumptions on the idea.

Mary Poppins is wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone - its by far the most magical thing I've seen on stage.

Heres are two  slightly more recent articles regarding Dumbo:

From Broadway.com: http://www.broadway.com/buzz/155613/tim ... the-bride/

From Variety: http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118033763

Disney's last production The Little Mermaid wasn't nearly as much of success as they hoped it would be, so it'd be interesting to see what they go for next.

The article above also makes an excellent point that Disney is also involved in Broadway shows Sister Act and Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark through its owning of Touchstone and Marvel.

Never thought of that. However Sister Act might actually be the best musical I've seen in years. The great, feel good story, the amazing cast and wonderful music by Alan Mencken making it a true "blesssed" experience.

Havn't heard anything more on the Dumbo project, the next Disney Theatrical release will be "Newsies". Again with new additional music by Alan M.

Oh no, I love Dumbo, but not as a theatrical experience. The lion King was fantastic, when I was 16 I saw Beauty and the beast, again an incredible production. I would love to take my daughter to see something like that or the Jungle Book.
