For those who want to learn more about the show. These videos were taken at the D23 Expo last year - One of the presentations at the expo was devoted entirely to World of Color. Imagineer Steve Davison, creator of the show, gave a complete overview - explaining the technical aspects, the storyline, and the tremendous amount of work that is being put into the show. Here are the videos, in six parts. It is definitely worth a watch!

Disney Parks Blog has a new video for WoC. This one shows how Pixar is working with the show. John Lasetter is working with the creative team, new animation was developed for the show.

A few screenshots:

Finally - a testing video posted on youtube. this was taken from the Paradise Pier hotel - except for the fountains, most of the other effects aren't visible.

THE BEST Disney show on earth by far!

I Realise this isn't the Full show in its entirety! With all the strange tranisitions but if you take it with a pinch of salt you can see this is something a bit special!  :D/

Truly breathtaking!!!

A couple of things to note about the video. This isn't the final version of the show. Some scenes are missing (Alice in Wonderland, Little Squirt, Dr. Facilier, among others) and the segments are not in order.

Also, some of the effects weren't on, including the hidden effects within the viewing area. You can tell it's not the full show because of the strange transitions, and there's a couple of places where the audio cuts off.

This version of the show was presented to Disney CEO Bob Iger, Tom Staggs, and other Disney suits to show them the progress of the show. While this is a good sneak peek, it is in now way the complete version of what we will see once it officially opens.

This show is truly amazing, breathtaking a real disney show....    =D>  :D/

this test full lengh test video gives me a hint on what to expect when the deputs this year..
cant wait for a hig definition video of the show...

it´s just my opinion but its better than fantasmic, don´t get me wrong fantasmic is great,
but this show will be a little bit better. the things i don´t like on fantasmic are the parts with
cast members performing.

from the angle this video was shot from you can't get a good perspective of how big the show is.

if you compare it to the viewing area in the bottom left, it makes that area look tiny. the show is massive and the fountains will literally tower over the audience. amazing!

and here is the latest video from the Disney Parks Blog, showing an overview of WoC development:

Your absolutly correct there,
I realise this is not the true full version of the show!
But i'm so pleased Disney are finally doing things right now! Praying this comes to WDS sometime!  [-o<

Definately a great show!! So much better than Fantasmic, although I liked this show a lot. I have always been a big fan of fountain shows, especially of the one in front of the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. I had to see it every day at least once when we were there.

Hopefully our plans turn into reality to travel to California in 2011 and then we have to go to DLR to see it.

Thanks for posting that video. The complete show looks fantastic. I've personally always preferred fountain shows to fireworks shows, so this is just great. It's so beautiful, how can anyone dislike it?

Presumably a fountain show (even of this scale) is cheaper to put on each night than a fireworks display? If so, that increases the chances of this ever coming to Disneyland Paris.

But surely the maintenance costs are astronomical. Think of all those fountains that need cleaning, inspecting, re-calibrating, etc.

Wow, wow, wow - mindblowing amazing. Eventhough some of the sequences (Nemo, Wall-E) might seem a bit boring in the video they sure will be immersive when you sit in the viewing area.

I haven't seen any of the big night time shows live, but I've seen them on video and this looks like it will kick their a** big time!

It would be amazing to see this in Paris, but yes the maintenance costs must be extraordinary so we might just have to dream a long time about this until they come up with a new magnificent show.

THIS is Disney Magic when it comes to shows!
