We're off to the New Forest for the week, I'm really looking forward to just having a break for a week 8)

Breaks are nice from time to time, just like the one you describe..  :wink:  :D

Oh, and can you let me know if you come across Robin Hood whilst in the Forest..  :mrgreen:

Anyway, have a great time, you'll probably come back all bright eyed and bushy tailed..   :lol: :mrgreen:

Just in case anyone's wondering when there will be another update (I doubt it :wink: ), I'm almost finished with the next part and I'm hoping to have it up really soon. Unfortunately, my exams are approaching very fast, and I am starting to get even more strapped for time. So expect the next update soon, but it could be a while before the following :wink:

I'm, once again very sorry for my incapability to write a simple trip report :roll:

Wednesday 31st December 2008 – Countdown to 2009 – Part 2

I'm back! I know it's been a while (sorry! :roll: ), so here's a small re-cap of what happened in part 1 of the 31st; after deciding against the extra magic hours because of the long day ahead, we started our day at the Walt Disney Studios. After visiting a number of attractions, and dodging the large crowds, we decided to head back to our Davy Crockett cabin in the middle of the afternoon for a small break. Up to date? Good, then we'll continue... :)

We arrived back at the resort just as it was starting to get dark. Where were we going now? The Disneyland Park of course! So we started walking down the lit up Main Street, whilst dodging the crowds again. At this point we realised why Main Street was so busy; Minnie's Jolly Holiday show!

It was a fantastic little show, and I enjoyed it a lot. From here, we headed for Discoveryland, walking past one of Disneyland Paris' greatest achievements to date; Space Mountain. :mrgreen:


I love this ride at night, but look at the queue :shock:

So after booking a quick flight to Endor (grabbing a couple of fastpasses for Star Tours :P ) we jumped onto the Disneyland Railroad in Discoveryland for a scenic trip around the park.

So now it was only natural for us to put our fastpasses to use, for another classic trip on the iconic Star Tours.  8)

By this point, it was getting close to the start of Disney's Fantillusion Parade; so we parked ourselves in front of It's a Small World to get ready for the parade to roll out.

After the Fantastic Fantillusion Parade, we were all feeling peckish, and headed to Toad Hall for some dinner. They even threw in a handful of chocolate truffles in with the meals, along with some delicious pots of tomato soup (with croutons!). :P  

By now, we were feeling rather full, so a peaceful cruise through the Caribbean was in order (sort of!). We then positioned ourselves in front of the Castle for the fireworks and the new year. Whilst waiting an hour for the fireworks, we absorbed the atmosphere of the DJ party on Main Street. :)

I have to say that the atmosphere of the area, the guests, and the CMs was fantastic, especially as it got close to new year. I have to also say that the CMs were absolutely fantastic, keeping everyone under control, and entertained at the same time (What do you do with a Main Street filled to the rim with guests? Giant Mexican Wave of course!) =D>  :D/

Then, it was time. 10. 9. 8. 7. 6. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1...

Thursday 1st January 2009 – Kicking off 2009 with a bang!
