@Scrumpman you can put your pins and your wants on pinpics.com  My wife will be signing on here soon, she just putting her pins on pinpics.com, she is much bigger disney fan (esp lion king) than I, and love pin collecting.  In fact from what I gather it seem the fantasy passes miss out on pin trading days, trading nights etc. so her pass will have to be upgraded
:-(..

she now on pin buying spree getting ready for when we go to DLRP at the end of August / September time.

Looks like they are trying to kill off pin trading, which is unfair as this is one of the few items adults would buy from ds store, they had already dumbed down the merchandise years ago by getting rid of ornaments etc.

I'm not a pin trader, but this is terrible. Once again the Marketing department is squeezing out floor space based on sales, or more likely to make room for Minnie Boutique merchandise.

Anyway, filled out the questionairre (falsely) to show some support, and I left this comment

'Needs to be expanded. Pin trading is probably the only thing that adults can participate in. If Disney want to cater for families - not just primary school kids - the pins in general needs more attention'

Doubt if anyone will notice, but I've done my bit.

P.S. Total Pins owned - 3.
1 x Steamboat Willie
2 x Tron Legacy won through the flynnlives.com viral campaign.

Very disappointing news!!  Sadly I don't have a Disney Store near me now as the one I used to work in closed down so I don't have access to the pins other than online or ebay.   I personally think Disney won't be selling pins for much longer in the UK.

:D I'm just happy that they're releasing a Ratigan pin.   No one else seems to care about that but me.

I am considering getting rid of my pin collection soon. There are over 400, including some from the opening of DLP, the original set for WDW's Millenium, DL as well as the opening of DCA, TDL, opening of HKDL, Disney on Ice, West End production pins, name tags, and many more. Is there still interest in this stuff?

And yes, Disney Store is such a waste of space, bearing little resemblence to the stores I worked in 20 years ago. Most of the stuff you can get on line for 30% less, and most of the cast know very little about Disney. It is very sad.
since 2001 (many before that)

Why do you want to get rid of your pin collection? Are you selling your pins?

You worked in a Disney Store? That's great. Did you work somewhere else for Disney, like a park, or from where do you get all the insider informations?
