The Walt Disney Company, along with other media giants like NewsCorp, GE and CBS/Viacom in the USA and the BBC in England, have canceled Christmas parties across the board due to the current worldwide economic crunch.  One subtle hint: in an in-office memo leaked to the website TVNewser.com, an American Broadcasting Company (the USA television network owned by Disney) News Division executive announced that all Christmas parties through the Disney empire have been canceled outright.

Even the annual cast member holiday parties at all Disney theme parks have been cut as a result of the money crisis.

Unfortunately, that's just the times we're living in.  A poor economy internationally means there's fiscal belts to be tightened.
