After Google Earth recently received updated satellite imagery of DLRP I was happy to see that since today Google Maps is now also using the new material. Sadly the quality of the imagery is far worse than before. DLRP used to have some of the best quality imagery to be found in Google Maps, but that is no more:

Check out the Magic Kingdom before and after:

And also if you zoom in further:

So, I am a bit disappointed that we are now stuck with such a bad quality for probably a very long time. Anyone knows from what date the old imagery was taken?

The quality of the new photograph is really quite bad, I wish the quality was better. Makes the park look dull  :( which we all know its not! :)

I'm not going to lie, the quality of the new images are a lot worse than the original, and that is a shame, but it really needed to be updated, so I'm happy to have that :)

I agree with Butlin the images aren't great but they were in bad need for an update.

Has WDS been updated too do you know?
