Reported by dlp.info:

Quote from: "dlp.info"It seems DLRP's marketing has fallen in love with tag lines and concepts related to "parties". 2007 saw the "15th Anniversary Party" being rolled out in marketing all over Europe to attract guests to resort, which is currently continued in 2008 as "The Party continues ... big time ...". While anniversary years have been celebrated and marketed with similar concepts in the past, 2008 is not only the first time that DLRP continues a birthday celebration for a second year, but also the first year besides anniversary years which is marketed under a celebration concept. Obviously inspired by the success of 2007. Now marketing has decided it wants keep the concept going, just as the US resorts do ... and has come up with a concept for 2009: MICKEY'S MAGICAL PARTY
The entertainment division is currently hard at work to come up with fitting new offers to tie into this concept. And first early concepts are slowly making their way out of the backstage offices. According to current rumors the light up poles on Disneyland's Main Street will be re-used once again. However as was done when they were transformed from the "Princess Chandeliers" of the Christmas Season to their new role as part of the 15th anniversary celebration, they are supposed be totally redecorated for "Mickey's Magical Party".
One of the center pieces of the party is supposed to be an actualy party spectacular on Central Place. Currently entertainment plans to go all out for this new show and would like to get the current stage enlarged, to have more room for a larger cast. This should avoid having dancers perform on ground level around the stage, where barely anoyne can actually see them. While nothing else has leaked out regarding this center piece show / spectacular of the year-long celebration, it seems Entertainment is pushing for a large cast, said to be larger than 30 including dancers and various characters.
However, keep in mind: all of these are currently rumors - nothing is set in stone at DLRP till the new celebration starts (currently scheduled for March / April 2009).

So what do you guys make of this then?

Yep, if you don't mind, I'm going to close this one and make a new "official" topic with all the features for the new one-year event.  I'll post it later this evening, hang on!  :D
