So, DLRP fans, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is scheduled to come to your place on October 10, 17, 24 and 28 of 2008, and you were wondering what this is all about? Here are a few links to allow you to read about this and also see two of the premeire events of this hard ticket extravaganza.

First, a pair of Wikipedia links about the party, and the fireworks centerpiece entitled "Happy Hallowishes, A Grim Grinning Ghosts Spooktacular In The Sky".

//http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mickey%27s_Not-So-Scary_Halloween_Party - General information about the activities at WDW's Magic Kingdom event. I added some information in this story about DLRP having their own version.

//http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HalloWishes - Information on the fireworks show.

Next, two links to YouTube of the "Mickey's Boo-To-You Parade" and the actual fireworks show.

//http://youtube.com/watch?v=p8Hqg6bXTu4 - Video of "Mickey's Boo To You" Halloween Parade.

//http://youtube.com/watch?v=V2xUGXigflo - Happy Hallowishes fireworks show in its' entirity.

And if the music sounds familiar on these videos, then now you know where the music from the 2006 Halloween cavalcade and 2007 pre-Dreams Halloween Parade (and the Villains Parade beforehand) came from. Maybe someday, we can bring a Pink Witch Brigade and Pumpkin People group to our events here in the States at WDW and Disneyland Anaheim, and yes, I heard that a Pumpkin People Brigade was in the 2007 Hong Kong "Glow In The Park" parade and were a hit.  Hope you like my comtributions.

Thanks for your post.  I do want to point out that our Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party will not be the same as in Florida, in fact, only the name will be the same.  The party will be located solely in Fantasyland and will be directed towards young children, unlike our traditional Halloween Soiree on 31th October.

Back to the Florida version, a few pumpkin men participated in parade already a few years ago.  They were borrowed from Paris.  :D

Do you think we can borrow a few pink witches for next year's events in California and Florida along with that catchy theme song?  I know they still play that with the villians show in Florida.

You can have all the Pink Witches if you really want. I have heard a rumour that in the years to come the Witches will be taking a step backwards in favour of giving the Disney characters a bigger role in the Halloween event. I can only hope this is true as the current Halloween decorations and props make the park look cheap and tacky. Disneyland Resort Paris is the best Magic Kingdom style park ever built and so it should have the best decorations.

Congrats, Malin.  They've been sacked as a matter of fact.
