I hate to be negitive but am I the only person who truely hates the whole HSM thing? I mean I actually liked some of the songs from the first movie, mainly because everytime I walked into the Disney store they had the soundtrack on but i found the films just way to cheesy and I thought it looked obvious they were lip-syncing in the first movie! :P

Sorry please don't hate me it's just my opinion!

the 24th of october is my birthday lol!

Just merged the two topics. :)

The songs seem to be getting less cheesy and more modern with each film and the trailer is actually very good, selling it as an event film. Although - the moment where time seems to stop and Troy and Gabriella sing to each other is a bit cringeworthy. Zac Efron's still no actor.

I like the chorus of this one, but the rest is a bit blah. I can imagine it introducing a HSM3 show at WDS already... I wonder if that's going to happen? I guess either On Tour or School's Out would have to be cut, unless we have three shows... lol.

Its looking too "Step Up" for my liking!

Positive though the BasketBall Team have bought new jersey's this year... Championship by the looks of things... Maybe Disney needed the Cash with the product placement to pay Effron and Venessa... Whatever the Topless Models name is... and their over inflated Egos! In that Cast there is ONLY 3 At A PUSH Actors I'll enjoy watching Lucas (Ryan); He Makes Me laugh, Corbin (Chad) He's a decent Actor and Ashley "Awesome" Tisdale (Miss Sharpay Evans) as she is HOT!

I like Ashley too  :P , but i think she's a lot funnier in Zack and Cody

As for the trailer, it's very clear that they spent more money on this one than they
did on the first 2   I hope it does well.

A song called " I want it all" was released on Radio Disney yesterday

I think the first part of it is kind of boring, but the 2nd part is great

QuoteHigh School Musical 3: Senior Year is in line to smash box office records in the UK, reports the BBC.

The film has pulled in £500,000 in advance ticket sales, with UK chain Odeon saying it has already taken £245,205 in bookings.

Odeon chief executive Rupert Gavin said: "Our cinemas have been inundated with calls to pre-book tickets for what could be the year's biggest kids and teen audience movie.

"With schools breaking up for half-term just as High School Musical 3 opens, we are bracing ourselves for a huge first week run."

The advance sales eclipse the record set by Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire in 2005.

High School Musical 3: Senior Year, which stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens as school sweethearts, will open in UK cinemas on October 22.

I'm beginning to think Disney should have bumped HSM2 up to a full cinema release... they would have made serious money, especially considering these record bookings for HSM3 are at a time when the franchise is, to be honest, winding down a little bit...

I'm curious to see it, but don't think I'll be pre-booking seats at the cinema.

Jemma McKenzie-Brown BTW is originally from the UK.

And of course despite her actually coming from somewhere near Hull in East Yorkshire, in the film her character's going to be from London. Because, you know, that's where all British people are from if we're to believe American movies/tv.

The UK premiere was last night. They're saying the film has "broken UK box office records before even opening", so if anyone saw any of the BBC News at 6, you'd have been treated to George Alagiah looking sheepish as he had to constantly plug the upcoming link to their live presenter on the High School Musical 3 red carpet throughout the entire programme. Not that they've dumbed down or anything.

Lol! thats so true, I don't ever understand things like that, I have a totally different accent to people from London. Just once I'd like to see someone British in a film shown as being from somewhere like York or something.
I want to see this film...but won't pay to see it. Will wait till its on T.V lol

Saw it today during a special event!  I liked it!  Much better than HSM2 in my opinion.

Aww cool!
I've just seen it advertised whilst reading this topic, the trailer deffinately makes it look a great deal better than the first two films.
I used to like the first two films...but then it all just exploded and just got out of hand.
Its like when you have a song that you love then the artist releases it and suddenly its everywhere and you just can't escape the song and you begin to dislike it.

Pete's Dragon

Dragged the kids to HSM3 yesterday, and I have to say I was a bit disappointed. Apart from 'Now or Never' none of the songs were very catchy. The plot was even more absent than the previous 2. And if there is a HSM4, I'm not looking forward to seeing the newly introduced characters again (esp. Rocketman, what a name  :? )

A high note for Captain Pan is that Miss Evans gets to wear some very skimp costumes this time around.

Official Pete's Dragon Rating: 6 Claws ( out of 10 )

Your poor kids.

I think I'll definitely be skipping this one in the cinema. And I don't know if it's just me, maybe I'm not watching/reading the right things, but I haven't really heard much about the film since the big premiere and advertising push about a week ago. The build up and buzz seemed to take place a few weeks ago, and now it's opened, everything HSM seems very quiet indeed.

I guess we'll have to wait for the box office figures to see for real...
