Taking bikes to DLP (en route to Alps)
« on: April 28, 2019, 09:12:29 AM »
First post here...

has anyone taken a bikes to DLP, and if so, how did you store them?

We are planning a few days at DLP en route to the Alps this summer so will have 3 bikes on a towbar mounted rack on the back (they're not mega expensive ones, just usual family bikes). We stayed in Sequoia Lodge before and and car park seemed open but reasonably secure (but we then just had car, no bikes on the back)

Wondering of others have done it, and if so, what they did (did they take bikes into room etc)

Hi KSS, welcome!

The best thing I can suggest would be to contact the hotel and ask if they have any kind of storage available for this. There is the usual guest storage of course, which usually just deals with suitcases, but it’s perfectly possible they’d be happy to take some bikes in there too - most other hotels would, so Disney should too.

Of course this still wouldn’t be completely secure, but I wouldn’t suggest at all leaving them on the car unless you can somehow very securely lock them. The hotels have a security gate but they’re also fairly open to the local road, and unfortunately this kind of petty thievery crime does happen around the resort.
