Is it possible to find the price for a room only booking using Infinity Pass before I have the pass?  I don't want to apply for it until after February so that it covers both of my currently booked trips (which were packages)  but we have a night before and after to book a room for.  Not sure if I will just stay with the Novotel Collegian and the Kyriad or if it'll be cheaper to have an AP room?  But I'm assuming when I call they would want my Annual Pass number?

1 night 6th April & 1 night 11th April.  I've read sometimes sites like hotels dot com and booking dot com are cheaper than the AP discount anyway?

You can ring the accommodation line, its on the DLP site for your country. Ask them for availability and how much it would cost for the room with the infinity pass discount. I don’t know whether you’ll be able to make the booking before the pass has been validated. Had a quick check on booking .com and it’s about €240 a night room only for each of the two nights you mentioned.

As far as I’m aware if you validate your pass in the first day you are in the park you can’t use it for the next two days, make sure you don’t get caught out by that.

I think you are getting confused with the different types of passes. Only the cheapest level of pass does not allow entry for two days after purchase/validation. All other pases allow entry depending on their own blockout dates. The Infinity pass allows 365 day entry to the parks.

Thanks, that's good to know, so out of the 4 current passes (Discovery, Magic flex, Magic Plus, Infinity) is it just the Discovery that doesn't allow you in the next two days after/purchase/validation (excluding the blockout dates)?

Discovery pass 2 day blockout after purchase, all year round
Magic Flex only blockout dates in April are 20th, 21st, 22nd
Magic Plus and Infinity passes  have no blockout dates in April.
Hope that helps

Oooh, that brings up a good point then, I was going to purchase the Annual Pass before I travel but does that mean it doesn't start until the first day I'm in the park? (which would have been the day after I need the room for as due to travel the annual pass office will be shut but the time I get there).

It depends on how you buy your pass.
If you buy online/by post from Disneyland Paris you can have it sent to you directly but it will be valid from the date of payment/issue...I dont think you can ask for a future date to be printed on your card.
If you are renewing a pass it will be valid from the day after your old pass expires.
If you buy a pass from an outside retailer sometimes they give you a voucher to be exchanged at the ticket office, usually within 6 months of purchase
You can also buy your pass on the day  at the gate ticket offices and exchange for a pass whenever the queues dont look so bad at the AP office in the park.

Our last AP i purchased on the phone from DLP in March 2017, they sent me out 5 tickets(paper ones similar to the type you'd get at the gate) that had to be validated within 6 months. We used them the first day of our trip to DLP in August 2017 and they were valid for the year until August 2018. We used them for our trip in June 2018 too.
