Hello. Does anyone know how much petrol is in France? Do you recommend filling up in the UK before crossing on the tunnel? One last question. Do you have to pay for your fuel in France before you fill up like in America?

We normally fill the tank before leaving UK but top up on the way back in France. We've either paid by card in the machine like in the UK or gone in to the shop to pay after filling up.

Flying fron Scotland we've always hired a car from cdg and stayed off site in a cottage. The supermarkets have petrol stations and the price for fuel is way cheaper than uk. They take cards at the pump.
