Hi all,

I've spotted there's some construction going on at Lake Disney (in front of the Sequoia Lodge lake entrance).

Has any one heard anything about what's being built?

The current rumour is that there will be a permanent fountain show on on the lake. Obviously nothing confirmed at the mo.

Oooh! That would be lovely 😊 might make a nice extra view from sequoia lodge lake view rooms too!

Can't believe its taken them this long to cop on to doing something like this. It makes so much sense with such a big lake and area that looks so empty at night. Hope this is true.

we actually like exactly that. The serene lake makes for a nice opportunity to cool off after all the buzz of the park and village. Just sitting there on a bench, maybe have a snack or drink, so relaxing

Guys! Ed92 has just posted an answer to this puzzle!

Looks like there's going to be a nighttime spectacular on Lake Disney - featuring fountains, lights, and performers.
Also there'll be free and paid viewing areas (here's hoping the paid bits are in the price of the hotels)

Looks like 2019 is going to be a good one!

I really don't understand why they would waste money on this. Shows belong in the parks.
It would be better to spend the money on some extra entertainment in the hotels and village. Streetmosphere is whats lacking over there. Bring in some funny actors. Live music. A children's dance party. Small parade (a light parade or the Buffalo Bill one. Carnival Games.. Just to name some idea's.

Allegedly the idea is that then they can still provide some extra entertainment on the nights the parks close earlier, drawing people to the village. Which tbh is not a bad idea.

It would be great if it was just like a dancing fountain show that plays every 30 mins or so with a musical background and colorful water fountains.
Not really loud, just like you can hear walking around the parks.
Something to just bring the lake to life a bit.
Walking home at night or around it at night feels bare and lifeless.

^I agree, even if its just a dancing fountain effect, it'd still be better than nothing.

Way too soon to tell, I wonder if the rumour for Lake Disney is actually for the Studios Lake?

I think the latest is that the lake show everyone was talking about isn't going to be on the Lake outside Sequoia, it's going to be on the new lake that's being built in Walt Disney Studios.  As nobody knew we were having a lake in WDS when this rumour came out, naturally everyone assumed it would be on the current lake.

Testing of some of the lighting has taken place recently. I wonder when they will get around to announcing it?
