As I saw the topic, I immediately thought 'sneakers'. But if you don't want to wear those, I'd say anything comfortable and water proof?

I practically live in my crocs from March to October but they are a bit marmite, you either love them or hate them. They are extremely comfortable though

It's Paris, so pretty hard to predict. May can be anything between 10 and 20 degrees Celsius and rain is always possible.

It all depends on what you find comfortable, we went in May one year & it rained quite a bit but we also managed to get a tan! I wore trainers, one summer I took my backless trainers & it rained so I got wet feet (absolutely hate wet feet) but still comfy. In winter I wear walking boots, you could still wear these in May.

Slimy yet satisfying

We usually wear waterproof hiking boots as we predominately visit in colder wet months. I think a comfy pair of trainers is best as you will do more walking than you would expect. Don't buy a new pair...Disney is not the place to be when you find your new shoes rub and give you sore feet and a blister! Tried and tested shoes are best. I don't think I could wear plastic crocs all day as they dont really offer much arch support and in crowds for parades you could find yourself with trodden on toes. Each to their own tho, as the previous poster said, some people live in their crocs and manage fine. I think the main point is to wear something comfortable that you would wear to a uk day out.

I'm not a big trainer fan either, so normally wear a pair of either comfy flat boots (if winter) or comfy pump type shoes in the summer.

Just to reiterate what others have said however make sure that whatever you wear are well worn in before you go.  Disney with blisters and uncomfortable shoes is not pleasant!   Don't underestimate the amount of time you will be walking and standing!  :)

I would agree something with a nice comfortable bottom .... Blisters are not fun so nothing new ...

I will be interested to see how many steps per day I have on my fitbit lol

I'm not really a trainers person either but after a day in my Doc Martens killed my feet (even though they were as comfy as slippers) I soon switched to trainers whilst in the parks. I'd also invest in some decent insoles as well for extra cushiony comfort. Do not underestimate the Disney Feet ache!  :o

I wear flip flops for Summer (Nike Solarsoft are unbelievable and come in loads of colours) I'd recommend getting a size larger than you normally are. I wear flat boots the rest of the time (ankle for Spring/Autum, over the knee for Winter) I wear anti blister socks with the boots and use an anti blister stick for when i'm wearing flip flops. I also bring memory foam insoles and flat court shoes in my bag just to change into if the need occurs. There is nothing worse than Disney Feet, especially WET Disney Feet! So always be prepared!

DisneyRon

My go to footwear for Disney park visits are hiking boots. ;D You'll be racking up a fair number of miles every day and shoes that you can comfortably walk in for extended periods of time are a must in my opinion. :)
