Not really seeing it as letting them win, more safety for my children.

I'm sure disney will put out some sort of statement regarding this surely..

This is horrific just see the news this morning  >:(

What is this world coming to? My condolences and thoughts for those innocent people who lost their lives yesterday and of course for the family and friends of the deceased. It is such sad thing to have happend and I can't imagine why these vile people do this.

Of course now many are going to be worried about upcoming trips to Paris and Disneyland but I can only hope that security will be tightened especially with Christmas coming. Our trip is one week before Christmas and although it's worrying I'm not going to not go. Unfortunatly terrorists attacks are a thing that does happen now a days, it could happen anywhere.

I was at bluewater shopping centre some years ago near christmas time and they evacuated everyone (must of been thousands of us) outside because of a terrorist.  It was petrifying but luckily they did not harm anyone and bluewater staff were quick to the scene ect.

I agree with other comments....personally I feel don't give in to these people as otherwise we'd stop going anywhere but on the other hand It's different when you are taking your children somewhere which could potentially be unsafe? I know Disney has security checks at the entrance but surely there should be other measures put in place?

We are due to go in a couple of days and I am seriously questioning whether I feel confident that  it is secure enough right now!

If I may, I am here now. The parks are not open today. Although this may be out of respect, I also expect it will be so they can put extra things in place for the immediate future. I would welcome armed police as it would make me feel more safe. I will be going to the parks tomorrow if they are open. I'd feel safe being inside DLP.

I hope everybody stays safe and takes care. My thoughts are with Paris.

Scary what a world we've brought our beautiful kids into. People need to learn tolerance, just because someone else is a different, colour, creed or religion doesn't give you the right to end their life. Feel for those affected.

I am meant to be taking my 2 DD's to DLP for our first visit next week, AP's bought, hotel booked & flights also booked... Am I going to go? I honestly can not say either way at the moment, whilst I don't want to let the terrorists win I'm not going to take my children to somewhere if there's even a small chance of an attack. I think I'm going to see what happens over the next few days but may also look for an alternative.

I can't begin to put into words what I feel about this.  :'(

My heart goes out to Paris and all of France.  The families and friends of victims, the wounded, the witnesses; the police/fire/special services who were sent to assist and free hostages.  Strength and prayers to all those affected and to government officials from hereon.  What a difficult few days ahead of France.

What an atrocity.

Stay safe everyone x

I myself am afraid but also of the thinking, like others, we should not let them win. We were going to book Tunisia on the day of the attacks there but not allowed & thinking of all those there who have had their lives turned up side down whether through loss of life or loss of livelihood is tragic. I'm not due in Disney until July but my daughter is due to arrive in Paris in December with the school & I'm now seriously worried about it, if it was just a Disney trip I might not have been as worried due to safety procedures they have in place but she staying in & visiting Paris itself.

Thoughts & prayers go out to all.

I honestly can see why people would want to cancel - the security at DLP is a joke and I've always said it would be easy for something like this to happen - I hope and pray that things are improved now (please please get metal detectors for everyone and not just search bags!). It makes me so angry that humanity can be so vile and evil.

I too was in New York when 9/11 happened at it still haunts me to this day. I'm so sad that Paris can no longer be my happy place to forget my worries. I will continue to visit Paris and DLP but their is always going to be a tinge of sadness on my visits now.

My thoughts go out to all those affected - RIP.

I'm trying to cancel my upcoming Monday trip and can't say I'm having much luck.

Eurostar only offering exchanges, no reply from Disney as yet. Buffalo bills, not sure they want to know either.

I'm in a catch 22 on what to do - excitement has turned into fear and worry.

Dont cancel, you have booked and paid and planned, and waited this long. I get that you are worried but honetly if it were me I would be even more determined to go and not let them ruin my trip.

Just be prepared for delays and go and enjoy the magic

It is an extremely difficult one to look at and decide on. Both myself and my little one are booked to go over Christmas and I have to admit that what has happened is very concerning and worrying but I'm not going to let it change my plans at this point.

Yes, of course we would all do absolutely anything to keep our children safe and as far from danger as possible but Disneyland, or anywhere else for that matter, is no more at risk than it was at this time yesterday. All that these events have done in this instance is to bring the unfortunate risk of everyday life back to the front of our minds.

If anything, things will be a little the other way over the coming weeks and months as I'm sure everyone, everywhere will be on full alert and a lot tighter where security is involved. With the way things are in the world at the moment, we are not truly safe anywhere as much as I hate to say that but we can't all just lock ourselves away in our homes for the rest of our lives and hope for the best.

It has been a very sad day for Paris, for France and for the rest of the civilised World and my deepest sympathies go out to anyone that has been caught up in it all, whether directly or indirectly. I can't even begin to imagine having to come to terms with being involved or losing a loved one in something like this but there are so many people out there today having to do just that.

glenn

To all you people who don,t want to go to Disney because of the terror attacks in Paris I can only say that
you are the only ones who can decide wether to go or not.
However well meaning the members on this forum are they cannot guarantee your safety ,no one can.
It,s a lot of money to lose if whoever you booked with don,t give a refund, but they would be heartless if they didn't,
I have read that Eurostar and some airlines are giving refunds or rescheduleing trips.
