We are booked in to the Disneyland Hotel from 2nd Dec. I have booked a standard room, but now as it is getting closer I am wondering if the upgraded rooms are worth paying the extra for?
I think the luxury room is around £200 more and the club are no doubt much more than that. Do any of you have any experience on the different rooms and whether they are worth the extra cost

I've neber been to THE hotel.
Think  about the wins and pluses you'll get for these extra 200 punds. If it's not something veery importat - then save the money and spend it for merchandise or dining options, Buffalo Bill Show ...

I'll be brutally honest - unless your paying the extra for CC its not worth it for the extras. No matter what room your in, you get the hotel fastpass. The luxury rooms are merely a slightly better view. When I say slightly better I don't mean balcony to watch dreams just more scenic. If you want a nice room location ask for one on the first floor - we got one right next to the stairs and it was so handy for popping back to (to the extent it was faster to pop to our hotel room than using the park toilets while waiting for the parade - especially handy if you have small kids).

How about a Christmas themed room? Some Disney goodies to take home and a tree and decs in the room.

Thank you for the replies. I see what you mean about the extras we could get for the same money ... and how long will we spend in the room?
How much extra is the Christmas themed room then and whats included?

As stated standard rooms are great!  I think theres option of a terrace room for a little more (But I believe these are all ground floor rooms)

Also at the moment with the sides of Main Street Station covered in scaffolding I don't think its worth having a park facing room.

Yeah terrace rooms are all ground floor and if your going in December I can't imagine you'd want to sit outside!!! Plus theres refurb on the outside at the front of DLPH so you may have green boards in front of your terrace. Not sure about the Christmas themed rooms as it's been years since I went for Christmas but that does sound awesome! No matter what you can't beat DLPH (not sure if it's a special occasion but if it is email them and they popped balloons and a card in my room)!
