Hi There!
My wife and I are Disney fanatics all the way from Australia and Disneyland Paris is the last of the Disneyland's that we have to do and we are soooo excited!
We are coming to Disneyland on October 16 and staying for 3 nights.
3 days ago we were looking at booking at the Sequoia Lodge and now we have gone on there and it is so much more expensive! :-(
When is the best time to book here? Do flash sales happen ever or often? And any suggestions for us around when to book this so we get this best price possible?
Any help and suggestions would be soooo great!
Thanks everyone :-)

Which site are you trying to book through? There is an early booking advantage currently on disneylandparis.co.uk for winter arrivals which offers up to 2 days & 2 nights for free. :)

Oh that's a tough one!!

They have a very strange pricing policy, the offers vary a lot from country to country!! Now for example they have a flash sale on the french site (but I think dates go only up to August). I think in the UK site they have another offer, where you get 20% off and free half board (for arrivals up to November).

I would suggest you first try changing your country (if you don't get insurance, it's not a problem, all they really need from you is an email address to send you all the documents) see if the prices improve. Otherwise, wait a bit, they do have special offers regularly, and mid October is not a particularly busy period so you should be able to get a good deal for it...

I'm going to give an answer that probably won't help a jot. I don't know if you get the same deals that we do here in the UK - I'm assuming Australian visitors are not that common and many that do visit would do it as part of a longer trip to France and buy tickets there. Your best bet would be to sign up to the DLP emails, and if possible book a trip with extra nights free. Other topics on here seem to indicate this is the best "normal" deal. Other than that, I've not seen anyone report of prices going down over the space of a few weeks (happy to be corrected) so the earliest you can book seems to be the best bet. What you could try and find is an agent in Australia who specialises in trips to DLP/France, who may be able to broker a better deal than you can get independently.

As never2old and daddyof2 have mentioned, it really depends on which site you make your booking through. The flash sale on the french site is for arrivals until August 3, if you decide to visit the park earlier. But if you want to visit in October you can take advantage of the 20% discount plus free half board on the UK site. If you had made your reservation one week earlier, the offer was 25% discount plus free half board and the total sum was lower.

Not sure if you have any agents in Australia specialising in DLP holidays, I live in Greece and the offers are not that good. Booking through the international site isn't a good option either, because their offers are usually overpriced and give just 1 day/1 night free. After reading some threads over here I decided to make my reservation through the UK site and I'm glad I did. We booked 5 days/4 nights at the Cheyenne with 25% off and free half board meal plan, plus the shuttle bus from CDG airport to DLP and back plus insurance and the total sum was 1,075 euros whereas if we had booked through the international site, we would have paid 1,240 euros without the free half board meal plan. Go figure!

Can you select any country on the disney site or do you have to pick the one where you live?

msRavenswood

You can select your country only on the international site. When making a reservation through the rest of the sites you just leave the country of residence as it is. For example, if you book through the UK site the country is set to United Kingdom and cannot be changed. You simply fill in the rest of your information and leave the country as it is. Everything is handled by email and there won't be a problem. And if you need extra reassurance, I'm telling you that I'm extra finicky and was feeling a bit guilty for booking through another site so I contacted Disneyland directly. I have attached their reply for everyone to see that it's officially acceptable to make such reservations. :)
