Eurostar price differences

Hello!

We're in the middle of planning our second trip to Disneyland Paris and have noticed that there's about a £200 ish difference in price between booking the eurostar as part of a package on the official DLP site and booking without transport and booking separately through Eurostar. As far as we can tell "Disney Express" is the only difference and as we're staying at the New York this time, we were wondering whether it was worth the £200 extra just to have our bags taken a few minutes up the road or are we missing anything extra that's included?

Thanks in advance!

I just tried to reply, glitch lost all the text, d'oh!

We used the express service the first time we went and not the second. Second time we stayed at Santa Fe, walked from the station and were checked in and in the park about 90 after arriving. We also booked via Eurostar and saved a fortune, especially as we stopped in Lille for a bit.

Check out this link if you haven't already, may offer more advice

Hope it works and this is helpful.

Thank you! You weren't kidding about saving a fortune! The price difference is unbelievable. How did you find the train change at Lille? Was it much of a hassle compared to going directly before or did it all go smoothly?

Thanks again!

Personally we found them absolutely fine. I was dubious at first but it wasn't a problem. The timetable is easy to read and gave us plenty of time to get to the platform. Time to get a coffee and stretch legs in between trains. We will certainly be doing it that way around if we go again in March.

Glad it was helpful :)

Having Disney Express or not all depends on how much luggage you have.  We stay at the New York which fair enough isnt far but when you have 3 kids, pushcahir, 3 suitcases and then on the return journey an extra bag or two full of souvenirs the Express service is a Godsend.  Obviously if you dont have young children or lots of luggage then I wouldnt worry about it.

not sure if you know this but you can have your luggage taken from your hotel to eurostar (disney express) its about 11 euros per room so ALOT cheaper than the £16.00 per person to do it both ways but saves loads. You book this at the hotel when you get there.

If you do decide to change at Lille, your TGV ticket will have seat reservations with carriage number etc, When you get onto the platform, you will find an illuminated map of the carriage arrangement on your train, this will tell you roughly whereabouts on the train your carriage will stop. This can be very handy as some TGV trains are about sixteen carriages long!
