I saw a really interresting documentary about Donald Duck and they talked about how Daisy was first named Dona, she was Spanish. And how in the first movies Donald was surounded by Spanish women a lot, which reportedly has got something to with Walt thinking that he had a Spanish mother who put him up for adoption, they even said Walt investigated this, but the documentary didn't tell what came out of this investigation.

Wow this is a long story, maybe soemone knows more about this rumour, personally I have never heard this story before.
