Original post by Festival Disney:

Chartecters Photo Blog have posted this interesting photo of some fountains, possibly like those used in Fantasmic/World of Color, being tested yesterday in the castle moat behind Le Theatre de Chateau. They say it's going to be something for the 20th Anniversary next year. Are we possibly seeing a night time show created for the castle stage?
Thoughts?

this is looking good. with peter pan and tarzan shows this year, i think the 20th will see a fountain show along the entire moat, and hopefully the return of more shows which have been missing for so long.

I read this on twitter, about testings for the 20th annversary but didn't know exactly what it was about.
Can you imagine the possibilities? A fantasmic-like show with actors on the castle stage, fountains in the moat and (if we're lucky) fireworks behind the castle. I'm looking foward to reading more about this.

If this is going to be something big, I don't think the castle stage will be used. The space in front of the stage is too small to accomodate many people.

So one moment we're all lead to believe the castle stage is getting demolished, and now it's about to host World of Color? Rumors sure are flying about.

Ah ha! Maybe this is what it's all about. Maybe the castle theatre will be removed so that people can see this little fountain show. It obviously wouldn't be as big as the World of Colour, but if they had a few fountains and combine it with a few projections on the castle walls, it would be rather nice.

That's just conjecture, of course.

Well that's the location they're testing at, as the Castle Stage is currently fenced off. I assume that if they do decide to carry out something like WoC it wouldn't be at this location, I just noted they look like the same type of fountains used in WoC.

I can't even see DLP being able to afford WoC.
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you, tomorrow,... You're always a day closer to my next Disney trip!

Well it would have to be a cheaper version, of course. :) They could just use projectors that they already have to project images on the castle wall and do a bit of dancing in front on the stage.

Then again, it could just be a pretty little fountain. :P

Plus Woc is played in a huge lake, when I made references earlier I simply meant Woc/Fantasmic-like fountain effects.

Yeah, I'm probably just getting excited over nothing. ^_^ I was just imagining it as projections on a few fountains to serve as the backdrop of a show in front.

If that is what they're doing, then that doesn't sound like nothing to me. A fountain show in front of the castle, has such a thing ever been done before? And think of the technological advances Disney has made in that area. A handful of World of Color fountains and a Fantasmic! mist screen is enough to get me excited.

Who knows, they might be planning a great little 20th Anniversary show to make up for the lack of new rides.

Exactly! I'm really excited to hear more about this.

If this actually was happening, it would definitely be worth seeing. Although, there is a big problem with this theory...

...which is that you can't really see the water from the stage. I suppose the fountain effect would need to be very high.

Although it is great that Disney brings a show that uses fountains to Paris, I wouldn't get too excited. We are still talking about Disneyland Paris and we know that plans can change quickly. Nevertheless I hope that show turns into reality and will be great.
