Hi, I really loved the music from Main street USA in Disneyland Paris.
Does anyone now any cds that have similar music or at least what genre of music it is ? I know its sort of old american music but what genre?

I think that the DLP music was available on CD at some point, I think I have one myself, not sure if you can still buy them though.

What's the point of buying CDs any more? Seriously. Completely obsolete format. You buy them, you import them into iTunes, then you store them away never to be played/read again.

It's $15 yes from the Paragon Ragtime Orchestra directly, but add on shipping to the UK and it's $24 (which is £15). So you can pay double and get them in, what, a week or two, or pay half and get them INSTANTLY.

Yes, yes, of course I know that CDs are completely frivolous these days, but in a special case like this that's precisely the point. How spectacularly dull to download these tracks from iTunes when you can order a real, physical copy of the actual Main Street music direct from the orchestra that recorded it and hold it in front of you.

Just be glad I'm not one of those people who sees purpose in snow globes.

I'm a big CD fan too - I love to own the physical copy. Plus I have a nice stereo system in the lounge which is a few years old and has a CD player and not an AUX input, and my little boy has a CD player in his room etc... My favourite format is actually vinyl, which is the only physical format on the rise, albeit from small numbers. I found MP3s a soulless way to buy and collect music as the primary method.

My DLP CDs are amongst my favourite - it's a collection I started from my very first trip. I'm hoping there will be a decent 20th Anniversary CD, the 15th Anniversary 2 CD set is fantastic.

Sometimes you have no choice but to buy a CD instead of a download , I buy them, download it  and it is back on Amazon the next day for £ 1 less than I paid ! I downloaded all my CD's to my ipod , sold them all and got back the price of the ipod in the sales !

I love CD's too. I would rather have a hard copy of my DLP music then a downloaded version if that makes sense.

Like with other Artists I'm a fan of I will buy the CD.
