I vaguely remembered it opening, but my wife (who had been to WDW) had suggested it for our honeymoon and I thought it was a good idea as I liked Alton Towers. From the brochure I actually thought that you would be forced to go on everything in WDS! I remember thinking that the flying carpets was actually a dark ride (like Peter Pan) and that the actual attraction was just the pre-show, then you would get off and go through the set behind into the attraction. Not a bad thought though! At the time I wasn't keen on the idea of parades, as I could just remember being bored as a child watching town-centre carnivals. Fantillusion and the princess parade soon sorted that out!
