Hey everybody!!

Just arrived from Paris and my first experience of Disney Christmas. And it couldn't have been better.
Arrived at Paris on Saturday but went to DLP only on Sunday, 28th November. It was very very cold that day, about freezing but the park was still doing well with many people arriving at the opening.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-01

Entrance of Disneyland Park and the lovely Disneyland Hotel.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-01

It's Christmas time at DLP :D

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-01

Sleeping Beauty Castle. I have to admit it's the most beautyfull one of them all .

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-01

Nice decorations around the hub

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-01

Went to Phantom Manor. Very nice as always, but no sound during the ride :( very sad that...

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-01

The Character Train just stopped before me. Another makeout of this train.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-01

Fantasyland beautifull as always.

Went to see It's a small world, the Christmas version of it. Very nice must admit for this ride.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-01

After this i ran over to frontierland to see the show Mickey's Winter Wonderland

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-01

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-01

Very nice show, but they should have a warmer theater because everyone was freezing seing the show.

Went to Discoveryland to have lunch.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-01

Loads and loads of people now in the park.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-01

After lunch went to see Captain EO. Was very nice reliving the show since i saw it only in 94.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-01

Night felt over in the Park and it was time for the lighting ceremony of the Tree. Very simple ceremony but still magical with the snow falling over Main Street.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-01

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-01

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-01

After it, I went to the Hub for the Lighting of the Castle and the Show, but it was so cold that the show was cancelled and they just brought the characters around the hub to a meet and greet session. After it, tinker bell just gave away her pixie dust and the castle was lit.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-01

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-01

I must confess I was a bit sad of not having the entire show but still the lights amazed me and the castle just looked magical.

After that, it was time for Fantillusion, again with no stops because of the cold weather.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-01

Tinker bell at her new position in the parade.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-01

Minnie ending as always the parade.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-01

Was on my way out when suddently, like magic, snow started falling over the park. Not the fake one at Main St. but the real one. Beautifull snow flakes all over everyone.

And with this i left the park, in a trully magical way. But I couldn't imagine what was going to happen the next day, but for that you have to wait a bit hehe. But in a word... White!!

Thanks for the great pictures! It seems you had a great time.

The castle looks so beautiful when it is illuminated. Christams season is definately a wonderful time to visit DLRP.

Part 2

Well, next day I went back. Decided to do the Studios and to end up in the main park, as it was my last day over at DLP.

On my way in the train I started seing everything very very white. It was snowing the day before if u recall but i never expected to see this as I arrive at Disneyland Paris...

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

White... White.. and more white... Everywhere. Simply magical the view of this resort all covered in white real snow.

Decided to follow the plan and went to the Studios.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

I have to admit that even this tiny park looks beautifull with snow...

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

Even though it doesn't have that much attention regarding Christmas decorations as the other park.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

Poor Walt and Mickey were all covered too:P

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

I still don't understand why they just brought this three here and not all the decorations from the Magic Kingdom... I remember them so well when I went in 2006 to Orlando. Good to see a few here again.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

Went to try first time the Paris Tower of Terror. During my last trip here it was still under construction so had to try it and see the differences from the Orlando one.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

Can't say which one is better. Both are very nice I guess, giving u a very pleasant experience. On my way to Rock n' Rollercoaster i got to see the Christmas Tree. Very shy tree when we compare with the other but with snow.... well looks brilliant.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

After the coaster it was time to relax a bit and go to toon studios for a walk.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

Crush was not very busy so i went on for a ride.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

Route 66 was also also white...

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

After I went to try Toy Story Playland and see how it looked. Well you guessed it. White all over.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

To my surprise two of them were closed because of the snow.

Great pics so far! Do you know how cold it was the night you watched Fanti? I'd like to know what the cutoff temperature is for them to call off the showstops  :-k

It was about -1ÂșC. they didn't do the showtime for all day long also because of the cold. Fanti was just passing by with no stops.

Hey guys

Just to let u know that there are no showstops in DOUD but Fanti showstops are still taking place. The only time we dont do them is if its dangerous for us to dance, with all the snow lately the floor is sooooo slippery and its hard to walk let alone do a routine. Sometimes we will just meet and greet guests instead of dancing but we do try our best to complete the choreography! Ive had a few close calls on parade with slipping up, was very funny for everyone watching  :D

PS. If u see the elves give us a wave and take a pic to upload here (I dont have many lol). We're also in the grotto with Santa at Woodys Roundup so come say Hi, we're very friendly  :P

Hey Alaina, do you know the reason why Fanti sometimes goes up Main Street towards the Castle, but sometimes the opposite direction? Something I've always wondered :?:

I'll give the elves a wave when I'm there in 12 days, maybe I'll see you  :D

I think it has to do with crowd control over at the park. I remember the same thing happening over at the Magic Kingdom to allow a better control of all guests. Guess the same thing is happening in Paris.

As for the stops yes the girl said that Fantillusion was not doing any stops that day because of ice and snow. The same thing was happening with the show at Central Plaza.

Last Part

After leaving the Studios I went back to the Disneyland Park.

Outside the view continued so beautifull. Remember the hand from the day before? Look at it the day after.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

Disneyland Hotel with snow.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

And the view from Disneyland Park was amazing...

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

Well we can tell where the wind was blowing by the tree :D

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

And near Central Plaza the view continued as well.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

Even the roofs of the Castle were a bit white.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

And the trees around it

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

Actually the park was a bit empty. Guess people were affraid of the snow and the cold. And it was monday too. Here is Fantasyland.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

The snowy cat :P

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

There was a meet and greet with Rapunzel. I don't know how she was not frozen standing there.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

By the end of the day, the sun came up a little bit over the clouds. No snow fall today i guess.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

In Discoveryland the view was great also. Everything was working here despite the snow. But the ice on the floor was getting heavy for people to walk.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

Indiana Jones coaster was also closed because of the ice and snow.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

But in frontierland everything was underway very well, even the coaster.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

When the night came up i had to leave. It was an amazing day, one i've never had in any Disney Park so far. A different experience thats for sure.

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

By coruscantpt at 2010-12-02

And with this i leave you. Hope you enjoyed looking at the pictures as much as I.

Hey FestivalDisney, i think its to do with the park closing times. If Fanti isnt on then parade normally goes from Its a Small World cos the park closes after DOUD so the crowd follow the back of the parade, however if Fanti is on after then it goes from Main Street as the guests will end up still in the park ready to watch it. I have no idea why Fanti goes from Main Street at the w/ends as the park closes after it finishes, why does Disny do a lot of things...Disney logic i guess  :P
