Annual Pass hotel booking - but no availability via booking number

I have a Dream Annual Pass, called to booking number to see how much I could get a room for, but was told no availability.

Checked on the DLP website and there is still availabilty for the dates I want.  My question is if I book via the DLP website for just one person, can I add extra people and just pay the extra taxes?

I tried to book last year when I had my annual pass and was told no, wasn't able to do so yet I had previously. I booked through the Walt Disney site and saved a thousand pound. I've not got an annual pass now.
