We'll probably go into Paris for the day using the RER and Metro. There seems to be a lot of different types of tickets. It looks like the Mobilis is the best for the adults at 16.40 Euro ( zone 1-5, limitless travel on RER & Metro).

One of the kids is three so I think they travel free and the other kids are 5 & 7 so there doesn't seem to be a discount for them ( except on weekends). It looks like a Visite type ticket for kids is 11 Euro.

I suppose my question is : Have I understood all the info on various websites about travelling into Paris and if anyone has done it this way or better using public transport?
