What year is Disney World's 50th?

i would like to know when the WORLD turns 50 because thats when i'm aiming to work there thanks ;D...

They only just had the 40th; guessing the 50th Anniversary will be a really big celebration. What exactly was done for the 40th? All I know about was the celebration for the 40th anniversary of the WDW Haunted Mansion.

I was there for the 20th and we had a really spectacular gift basket waiting for us in our room at the Polynesian Resort in honor of the 20th. Not sure if they do anything like that anymore.
