Day 5 of our Disney Cruise Line adventure.

We arrived early in the morning at Saint-Thomas.  



Again, we didn't book any excursions, instead we decided to walk all the way to the shopping district of the island.

It was quite a walk, but there was a nice walk way along the harbour and the shore.  







While we were walking, we heard the emergency horns of the Disney Magic during an unannounced safety drill.




The shopping area was quite nice, but obviously full with pushy sales people and cab drivers (Taxi boys? 5 dollar!)





We spotted The Belgian Chocolate Factory which we had to try.  Sadly, they were bad and expensive.




We left Saint-Thomas for what it was and returned back to the ship.






When we left the island in the evening, I saw a few dolphins jump out of the water, but before I had my camera out, they were gone.  I did capture a nice sunset from our stateroom's balcony.




We oversaw a heavy thunderstorm over one of the islands we were passing.  The white/grey spots in this picture is lightning high in the clouds.

Dinner was at Animators Palette tonight, our second time here, but this time with the "show".

It goes like this, when you enter restaurant all the drawings on the waiters' vests and on the walls were black and white drawings. When dessert was served, screens on the wall started playing a video (similar to the one they play at the Art of Disney Animation with all different kind of Disney emotions).  During the "heroic" part of the video, all lights went on and everything is coloured.  Next the music from Fantasmic was played and Sorcerer Mickey made his way through the restaurant followed by all the waiters who were wearing coloured vests.

Quickly moving on to Day 7...

Our last port of call before returning to Orlando was Disney's Castaway Cay.  It took some time before we could dock, because the sea was very rough so the captain had to try twice, if he didn't succeed he was going to leave Castaway Cay.  Also, because of the rough weather almost all activities were cancelled, including the snorkelling we had booked.  

I took these photos of the upper deck while waiting for the ship to dock.

Remember the Magic: A Final Farewell was the last show on board the ship.  It was a mix of all the other shows and entertainment, including a hypnotist and a ventriloquist.
