I've heard people mention this before and I've seen in on Wikipedia but I don't know what an E-Ticket ride is...

I thought an E-Ticket was a "Fast-Pass" but am I wrong?

Help!

My english is not so good, so I hope you understand what I mean.    An "E-Ticket" is not a Fastpass.

In the early Years from WDW etc they sell tickets for the attractions in the parc. They specified the tickets in A,B, C, D, E-Tickets, E-Tickets are the highest prices tickets in that Category fot the best attractions, so the people called this attractions: That was an E-Ticket Ride :-)

yup and they were first released in 1959 at disneyland when the matterhorn, monorail and submarine voyage opened. modern E ticket rides can be spotted by their popularity. For example the E ticket rides at Walt Disney Studios are Crush's Coaster, ToT and the Rock n roller coaster

Crush's Coaster isn't an E ticket attraction, I think it is a D
