Post your favourite DLRP hotel report here and why you liked this year in that hotel.

I'll start:

12-16 feb 2007 HNY. When we arrived there was already something going on in the hotel lobby with chip and dale dancing with all the children! Then we got told we had been upgaded to a Lake View room!!! Very exciting! We were taken to our room by a very friendly CM. The view was amazing, we were right in the middle of the hotel!!!!! This year i was obsessed with eeyore and wanted a cuddly toy of eeyore! After the second day we came back to our hotel room and there there was an eeyore cuddly toy sitting on my bed!!!!! There was also a very nice glass with the disney symbol on filled to the top with sweets and 4 chocolate coins also laying on the beds! This was our first time trying the bar...and LOVED IT!!! It has a really nice relaxing feel to it I also went ice skating which was really fun! On the 14 the valentines celebrations were really good and i even got invited up to dance with all the characters!!!!!! The beds were really comfy and slept really well. A definate highlight that year was the amazing breakfast especially the cooked breakfast!!!! And on our last night we were greeted with pluto break dancing in the hotel which was really entertaining. The last day Goofy was in the hotel greeting everyone going into breakfast!!!!!! BEST DISNEY STAY EVER!!!!!

We always stay at the Davvy Crockett Ranch, and we love it  Last time we went (29th December - 2nd January...New Years!), when we got to our cabin we found two plush Mickey's dressed as Santa, and a small pack with a few truffles in (probably because they wanted to clear the Christmas merchandise and because it was New year which equals expensive and busy  ), which was a very pleasant surprise , until my two younger sisters claimed the two Mickeys...        :P

My girlfriend and I have been to DLRP three times and we stayed always at the Santa Fe Hotel. Since we are students and we don't spend much time in the rooms, we didn't want to spend too much money on the hotel. So the Santa Fe was our first choice.

The CMs were always very polite and helpful, check-in was quick and the breakfast buffet was okay.

The only thing to complain about was the TV last time. It didn't work very fine and housekeeping didn't do anything about it, although we have told them several times that the tv doesn't work fine.

We can really recommend this hotel and we enjoyed staying there, but next time we want to stay at the Sequoia Lodge.

January 2006 - As a special birthday treat for my daughter, we decided to book the Castle Club at the DLH. This would be our last holiday as our little family before the birth of my son, so wanted to do something extra special for her birthday. We'd booked a room overlooking the gardens, we thought this would be nice to wake up to as the chances of getting a castle view room we considered to be pretty low. Anyway, when we turned up at reception we were told we had to move rooms and they hoped we wouldn't mind. We were escorted to the far end of one of the wings, and the CM opened the door and allowed us to enter our room. It was spectacular, they had very kindly upgraded us to a junior suite (Dopey Room). The room was overlooking the castle, there was a bedroom for us and a sofa bed in the lounge for our daughter, a walk in shower, a separate bathroom, 2 toilets, a dining area.....I could go on and on (sorry). We had a balcony, which meant we didn't have to leave our room to watch the parade. I don't think my daughter fully appreciated how lucky we were, but my husband and I certainly did.

That is one thing l learned in Disney hotels: never ever panic when you're asked to move, it usually means better rooms!

My favourite DLRP hotel is Disneyland hotel.

We stayed there for the first part of our honeymoon in 2007, and it was amazing.
We asked if we could upgrade our room as it was our honeymoon and we had married the day before, and they were so helpful, putting us in room that overlooked the park. Also they put flowers in our room, and a bottle of champagne. Then they gave us VIP fastpasses which were a godsend.
The DLH is by far the best IMO, and we will always try and stay there, finances permitting. The rooms are brilliant, location is the best IMO, and the staff were all really helpful and attentive.

weve stayed in 4 of the Disney hotels in the last 18 months, and each of them have a positive  comment from us, here we go

Santa Fe - We really like this hotel, the rooms have always been clean and tidy and we love the walk to the park from here, especially with friends when you want to talk about your day ahead. The staff are always helpful in out opinion. The only minus is you have to get an early breakfast as it is so busy due to the size of the hotel. Also the first time we visited we were surprised that this was a motel rather than a hotel in the traditional sense.

Cheyenne - I think this is the best themed hotel of all its just like staying in a wild west town, again not a typical hotel because you walk outside to get to your block. You get the same food for breakfast as you do in the Santa Fe. We loved the theming so much we have booked again for September when we take our nephews.

Sequioa Lodge - this is my favourite hotel out of the four I have stayed in, maybe because we got upgraded to a suite  :D/ . the hotel is lovely and we really enjoyed the extra you get at breakfast. We had a lake view and being able to look at the castle as it sparkles at night. There is a realy coziness when you come back after a long day in the park and its getting cold and the log fire is burning in the bar.

Newport Bay Club - nice hotel just seemed like a mammoth walk from the park ( more so than the Cheyenne and the Santa Fe ) although its not far. The corridors seem to go on forever in this hotel. The rooms were ok, nothing to shout about considering how much extra it costs to stay here. The highlight for us was the discovery of the cape cod restaurant when we stayed here. We have since been to the hotel just to visit the Cape Cod. The buffet is the best we have had at Disney, really fresh and the roast of the day has always been nice, a couple of my favourites here are the hot pancakes with lashings of syrup and the poached meringues. In fact i havent had anything i havent liked there, although there have been things i have avoided but my partner has gone for such as the stuffed baby squid.

To summarise

Santa Fe - great on a budget
Cheyenne - great theming and great if you have kids
Sequioa Lodge - a winter wonderland, and close to the park
Newport Bay - our least favourite but go to the Cape Cod

I hope to do the HNY or DLH in may when we go to renew our passes, just waiting for the next envie+

To be honest we've only been once! We originally booked the Sants Fe but were told two weeks before we'd been upgraded to the Newport Bay. It was clean and comfortable, but must agree the trek from the lobby to our room was ridiculous! We were at the furthest corner of the hotel! However, shouldn't complain as we did get upgraded!!
We are staying in the Sequioa Lodge next time...I was pushing for the New York but we decided on an extra day instead!
