2 weeks before, it didn't do me so well, so I asked with puppy eyes to my boyfriend's boss, if we could lend the car again to go to Paris.
(boyfriend is cabdriver, we don't have our own car, but we can use the cab)
[and for those wondering, in Belgium we don't have yellow cabs/black London cabs, just a regular Citroën, lol, soon a BMW :P hehe]
And he said it was ok :D

And for some other reasons aswell, I finally have a job since August 18th.
And 3 weeks later (now 1,5 week ago) me and my boyfriend would be together for 1 year <33 .

So, reason to celebrate :D

Saturday, August 30th - 2008

The alarm went off at 5am, so we could leave at 6am.
What turned out to be 6.30am.

First stop, was for gas.
But the machine wouldn't take my bank-card, so had to drive to the next gasstation.

While on the highway, another stop at another gasstation, to get something to drink and some cookies ^_^.
A man walks in asking which direction he needs to follow for Paris.
Coincidence...
So we told him how to drive.
The man says: yes, but we don't need to go to Paris city, but to DLRP.
Bigger coincidence!  Haha.
So my boyfriend says: That's where we're going!
So the man asked if he could follow us up there.
Boyfriend said it was fine, but "I don't drive harder then 110km/h", lol.
(we noticed the car doesn't use so much diesel when driving below 120km/h)

By then it was about 6.45am, and those people came from The Netherlands, so they were already on the road for quite some time.

According to the GPS, we would arrive at DLRP at about 9.30am.

Unfortunetly...
When we arrived at the péage to pay, 30 minute que  :|  .
It went soooo slow comparing to all the other times we passed it.
GPS said: arrival time 10am.
So, the last part, we drove faster then 110km/h haha.

The people who were following us, wanted to stop for a few minutes, so we did.
Again, lots later...
But we weren't gonna make it before opening time, so didn't really matter that much anymore.
('cause we wanted to see if we could do Crush Coaster, if we'd get there on opening time, hehe)

Finally, we were almost there, at the parking lot.
Wow, major jam  :|
About 10.30am

30 - 45 minutes to wait till it's our turn to drive up the parking lot.

Around 11.20am we were at the park entrance  o_O
Wauw, trip took a lot longer then usual, hehe.

So then, it was already too late to go for Crush's Coaster, knowing how it went the other times, the waiting line would have been huge :|
So we went straight to the "regular" park.

Mickey is our witness from our arrival time.

My boyfriend said the day before: You can choose what we're gonna do.
Now, he should have known lots of Lion King :P

We saw a part of Fantasyland I had never even seen before :o
(I always wondered where the Casey Junior train was, haha)

The weather, pff...  30 degrees... and not a cloud in the sky.

First through some shops in Main Street.
Character Express just came by.

I wanted to film it this time, so took the camera.
Already pushed REC, but my boyfriend took over then, so I could take some pictures aswell.
But he also pushed REC.
So no filming, haha.

We went straight to Buzz.
45 minutes waiting time.
But it always takes for ages till you passed the fast-pass line   :?

Then we walked back to the castle, to Fantasyland.
My boyfriend: Come on, let's go walk through this fantasy land a little first.

So we ended up at "Le pays des contes de fées".
I didn't even knew that was there :o

Casey Junior seemed fun to do, hehe, but the waiting line was just too much for what it is...

Boyfriend was starting to get hungry, en he wanted to go back where we ate when we were there last December.
Can't believe he remembered... haha.
Was at Colonel Hati's Pizza Outpost.
I was a little bit confused as to were it was.
I was convinced it was somewhere closeby the castle / Main Street.
I was wrong ^_^ hehe

My boyfriend still knew it was somewhere around Pirates.

We first did Pirates.
Very long "walking"-que, never walked it so long, hehe.
45 minutes it was, but it went really fast.
I don't have a picture from the ride (I always take a picture from the video screen, lol), because ours wasn't shown :( .

And then... FOOD

We sat by the big tree in the middle...

After dinner, straight to The Lion King show nr. 1 hehe.
The 3.30pm show.

Simba.
Same one as 2 weeks before, and by far the bestest Simba-voice I had heard so far from the DLRP show.
screenshot from video camera

Something went wrong in the beginning.
Normally "The legend of The Lion King" shows up from the projection.
But it didn't.

I also noticed that there were no dancers "flying" with Hakuna Matata & Can you feel the love tonight.

After the show we went to get FastPasses for Buzz.  But ended up not using them, as we were busy with something else, lol.
Then to Star Tours, to get FastPasses.  At 5.15pm we could go back.

So we needed something in between to do, and that was "Honey, I shrunk the audience".
I hadn't been in there yet (and was only a 20-minute wait), but I knew what it was, and what would happen.

And how "stupid" it may be, it's just not for me, haha.
Knowing something is gonna come, not knowing when, nope ... not for me, lolz.
Although, the sneezing in the end, could have been a bit more, hehe.

The show was done, and it was exactly 5.15pm, so right in time for our FastPasses from Star Tours.

We skipped Phantom Manor.
There are 2 things my boyfriend doesn't really like doing, 'cause if you seen it once, it's enough (lol), and PM is 1 of them.
(other is Armegeddon)

So we did BTM instead.
Didn't had the chance to 2 weeks before.
60-minute wait.
But in the end, it was only about 35 minutes.
Also here, no photo-from-photo, as only our body's were on it, no heads :| .

On the way back, passing by the Hakuna Matata restaurant, to take some pics inside.

Then we just walked around a little, enjoying the sights ^_^

I wanted to see the Lion King show again, 'cause I hadn't seen my favorite Scar yet, hehe.
And it wasn't him in the 1st show we saw.
But too bad, he wasn't there at the 9pm show eather :( .

It was 8pm, and we went already in line *blush*.
A CM comes out telling us to go all the way too the back of the building.
(we were standing in front of the waiting line).
Because we needed to be counted.
A lot of people totally mis-understood, and walked all the way to the back, but went into the building at the back.
10 minutes later or so, they all came back out.
We were totally in front of the line :D haha

When it was time to let us in, a CM kept saying/yelling, that everyone had to stay calm, and DON'T run.
But hey, who actually listens?
Some people (read: some ;) ) don't seem to care that small children are in the line  .
It was like going to a concert from Michael Jackson or something, the running, parents just dragging there kids like the kids were almost flying from the ground  :?

And because we were first in the waiting line, we'd thought we'd have a spot on the first row.
Lolz, are you kidding?
Those spots were all taking by those who were running for their lives  :|
Not that I wanna be on the first row, I never do that anywhere, but I just noticed that.
We were on the 3rd row, on the corner with the isle.

Belgian flag (second from the right, as I am Belgian, so took a pic, hehe)

Unfortunatly not completely dark, but this time it definatly is Autopia!
What wasn't the case last time, even though I was convinced, lol.
(I said it was "Autopia by night", but it really was Buzz)

After the Lion King show we went straight to Main Street to get a good spot for Fantillusion.
Yep, 2 hours in advance...  :|
Because 2 weeks before, we were then 1,5 hour in advance and there was no place at all left anymore.

We also knew not to sit on the same place again.
Because when the parade stops the first time, there's just a black "hole".
The last wagon from the first part, is somewhere waaaaay over there and tiny in vision.
And the next wagon, you can't see eather, 'cause it's around the corner.
And no dancing in between.
Was somewhere close to Casey's Corner we sat then.

Now, we had a spot, just before Casey's Corner, in front of the castle, in a turn.
And to get through time I went and got us something to eat at Casey's Corner.
Was inside for about 30 minutes, with only 2 people in front of me...
Service was a little slow, and the waiter wasn't aloud to use the cash-register himself?
He had to wait all the time till another collegue had time to do it for him.

All the pictures that come next, my boyfriend took them.
So credit to him, hehe.
I filmed everything.
And since his pics last time in the dark were better then mine, it was obvious who was gonna take pictures :P

butterfly ^_^

We had a great spot!
Because the dancers that come before Ursula's ride, were right in front of us :D

And then, at last...  The Enchanted Fireworks!
It was so pretty!  And romantic, hehe.
And I told my boyfriend, the day after when we were watching the video: the ending could have had more of a big bang.
But then afterwoods I read somewhere they had to change that 'cause of the neighbours.

(and if you look at the castle, when I take pictures, it leans over to the right, with my boyfriend, it leans over to the left, haha)

What should have been "the big bang".

And then the projections at the end just kept on the castle, I didn't knew when it would really end.
So after some seconds I turned off my camera, so I don't have the actuall ending, where those lights shine on the top.

And then the batteries failed :(
So I took this one very quickly, so it isn't a great one.

Then it was time to go back home.
We stopped somewhere though, my boyfriend wanted to rest a little, and slept for about an hour in the car.

Could have been longer, since we were home at 5am.
(was supposed to be 3am, so yeah, a little longer, haha).

I got lots of more pics, which are all here

Thanks for reading/watching :D

Excellent post Nathalie, looks like you had a great time. I don't think I would have lasted as long as you and your boyfriend did tho :P. As for coincidences - I'm also a cab driver (in UK) and also drive a Citroen

Thanks for sharing your day out with us :D

Thanks  :D

That is coincidence, hehe.

We're gonna get a new car next week, Citroëns seem to be great family cars, but they don't last so long for being a cab-car for us.  Nothing but problems.
We have 2 of them, and both keep breaking down  :s

I agree about the Citroen, I have a C8 2.0 hdi Exclusive - very nice car but as a cab it's like driving round in an egg! - problem after problem and always expensive problem after problem. Next car is going to be a Toyota Avensis D4D - supposed to be super reliable and excellent on diesel

"like an egg" lolz

The boss wanted a Chrysler 300, wow :D
But just a little bit too expensive, hehe.

So as of next week, we'll have a BMW 725.
Seems a good car, it can do a lot of km's, and there's lots of room for people in the back.

@ bigrossco: Thanks

Haha, it's a thing with fotopic.net you can let the host put it on there or not.
I choose to do so

So, what are you up to ey?

Hehe

If there's a pic you want, just ask ;)
As long as people won't claim it as their own, I don't mind.

Kind of hard to use my pics anyways, since they are resized from 2288px to 512px, hehe.
