They asked for 165 £ totally extra cost for updating from Cheyenne to golden forest sequoia lodge (5 nights)! Is it worth paying for it?  Just notice that we usually spend the day on the parks and we want the room only for sleeping and breakfast! Any ideas?? Thank you friends!!

I have not experienced the golden forest lodge myself. But I am going to stay there over 8 nights.

I think it is really worth it. But it all depends on what your preferences are. For the 165 pounds you will get
the possibility to relax in the pool
a closure location to the parks. So less walking to do. (I advice you to walk where ever you stay, and don't use the bus)

And because your are staying in the golden forest club...

a hot breakfast in a quieter and less chaotic room, without having to choose a time slot.
a private check in desk. Where you can sit down, and probably doesn't have to queue as long as at the normal check in desk.
Free drinks in the lounge which you can bring to parks. So even if you don't plan to sit there. You can just pop by and pick up a few free drinks
Free snacks and cakes between four and half past 5 in the lounge.
A kettle, a nesspresso machine and a mini fridge on your room. and thea bags and nespresso cups
Hotel fast passes. (So one free fast pass per person per night, to use on one attraction per day)

These perks are worth it for me.. So if they look good to you.. Just do it. It will be amazing.

I think it's totally worth it. Even just for being closer to the parks the surroundings of the lodge are lovely lots of forestry and little waterfalls. I'd go for it in an instant.

Go for it! We've always stayed at the Cheyenne and it's our favourite hotel, but for our September trip we've booked 5 nights at SL GFC, plus two nights at the Cheyenne with my AP. From what I've read GFC is totally worth it and the perks are many, especially the Hotel Fastpass is handy during busy days.
