Hello!

I'm visiting Disneyland Paris for the first time (so excited), but for not very long...
Just wanted some advice on how I can make the most of my visit.

We will be visiting on a Thursday during the first or second week of June. How busy will June 1st or 8th be?

It will be a short day trip from our bigger vacation in central Paris. Going to arrive in the resort around 12:45, where we will visit both Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios. Planning to stay until 23:00 when DLP closes.

We have been to Disneyland in California and Disney World in Florida many times, so the main goal is to experience what is unique to Paris.

Some rides we have in mind are: Big Thunder Mountain, Phantom Manor, Space Mountain, Indian Jones et le Temple du Peril, Adventure Isle, Crush's Coaster, and Ratatouille: L'Aventure Totalement Toquee de Remy

Are there other suggestions for what else we should see? We are also highly interested in watching Mickey and the Magician, and the new Disney Illuminations show.

Any ideas on how we should tackle the day? There aren't any young children in our party, so we should be able to move at an accelerated pace (hopefully).

Your advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hello jsurbs!

Since you are all adults its totally doable. The only downside is you won't be there from park opening, so you're minus about 4 hours. How much you will actually be able to get in all comes down to the wait times. It's good though that you are visiting on a weekday (weekends are brutal crowd-wise).

The rides you have in mind are perfect as they are either entirely unique to Paris or a different version of their American counterparts so you'll be seeing something different.

Our first visit to DLP was also for only a day and we made it on almost every ride but did zero shows. The shows are amazing, we just made getting on as many rides as possible a priority, so that's totally up to you.

Your best bet in my opinion is to head to the Studios first, get a fast pass for wherever possible, do other rides or shows in the meantime then head over to the main park again get a fast pass if possible and get on whatever else you can.

Phantom Manor, Pirates & It's a Small World almost always have shorter wait times (around 10 minutes). Put off Big Thunder, Indiana Jones and Space Mountain for later, wait times dwindle dramatically on these 3 at night. Crush's Coaster will problaby be the longest queue you will encounter, we've never waited for less than 50 minutes, but it's worth the wait especially if you love roller coasters. If you can, download the app so you can check the wait times for both parks and decide quicker where to go next without randomly running around.

I hope this helps!

Pirates of the Caribbean is shut while it's being refurbed.  I've heard a few different months of when it's going to re-open.  the official one is July but I've also heard of October and one CM said to someone it will be shut for most of the year.

If you can make use of the solo rider lines, these are often a little shorter waiting times

If you would be able to go for park opening, you could make most of the big rides before 11am. Crush in particular it's not unusual to have a 70-120 minute wait. However, if you arrive at opening you can usually walk straight on in the single rider queue. If you arrive after lunch, get a fast pass for Big Thunder Mountain.
