Hi,
I need some advice.

This fall break we are taking my niece (14) and nephew (12) to Disneyland.

We originally wanted to book two hotel rooms, but found out this is very expensive. We are now thinking about sharing a room.

Because we would like a little bit more space we are looking at Golden Forrest Club rooms or Empire Club rooms.

I see there are some extra perks with these rooms such as breakfast and a lounge with snacks.

Has anyone stayed in these rooms recently and can you advise which one is 'better'?  What is the difference?

Also I see that the price will be around 1800 euro.  For 800 euro we can stay at Vienna Dream Castle and buy 4 annual passes. Then we will have seperate rooms.
Which will be better?
Does the bus go all day there? Can they go by themselves?

The last option would be Davy Crockett Ranch. This is a lot cheaper but they cannot go to the park by themselves.
What do you guys think?

Slimy yet satisfying

Dream castle. Annual passes. I wouldn't even think about letting a 12 and 14 year go into the patk by themselves.

I dont think they are allowed to go in by themselves below the age of 16.

I would go to a disney hotel. It is just that bit of extra magic. Being able to wake up and walk to the park and the emh ate worth it for me. But maby not a 1000 pounds more...
The golden forest club rooms aren't any different from normal rooms though. So you are paying a bit extra for a hot quiet breakfast, a lounge with free drinks and hotel fast passes. Not for extra room! So mabey compromise and get a standard sequaia lodge room? Or hotel cheyenne?

I think it depends if they are accompanied when entering. I went with the school when it first opened so I was 13 and we were left to wander. My daughter went with the school last year aged 13 & they were left to wander, just had to meet up at certain points.
I googled if they have an age restriction into the parks because of this and found that children under the age of 12 must be accompanied (theme park rules for dlp).  I trusted my daughter to go in the park with her friends, especially because we have been so often but I was still glad that I knew staff were in the park with them on the other end of a phone if they needed them & that they checked in with them. I still worried thought so I was glad I was getting texts & pics dents through from her haha

Just my view, but I'd take an off-site hotel any day when the cost saving is so huge. Disney's on-site hotels are a treat, but for the money you'll save you can eat like kings and queens while you're there.

I know the shuttle to Dream Castle runs all day, although not sure how often. If you ever get stuck, it's only 20 minutes' walk away, or a cheap Uber.

If you need sponsorship for a discount annual pass, let me know!
