So for example the Santa Fe will now charge £12 for brekkie in the hotel and £15 for a character brekkie for new bookings. What happens if you have already booked for next year and it includes a hotel brekkie, how much extra are they going to charge you to upgrade to a character one...£3 or the whole whack of £15?

I think the £15 *is* the upgrade from hotel brekkie to character.  The full cost is £27 (again, I think).
No idea how it'll work if you've already booked with breakfast included - we are in the same position...

Unfortunately character breakfasts are £27 & I think £12 for a measly continental breakfast is very expensive. I just wish you could have a meal plan without breakfast included because this is what is putting up the price & 2 of our usual party don't eat breakfast at the best of times but we use the meal plan.

How about the Sequoia Lodge Forest Room and similar programs at New York Hotel and Newport Bay? They have a standard hot breakfast now and used to have characters in the room until a year ago. Will those breakfast be the same price and will there still be any extra's?

I booked in June for the 25th anniversary at hotel New York and as I booked through magic breaks I could also add a meal plan in advance so went with premium.

Messaged them today to ask how it will work and if my breakfast will be hotel only and they said I will be given the new meal plan so will get premium breakfast included so could eat in plaza gardens every morning

I don't know about characters but when pricing up today the golden forest rooms have breakfast included in the price. We were also told by both a Disneyland Paris advisor on the booking line & Disneyland Holidays that breakfast in the Sequoia up over have American breakfasts included & something about breakfasts are now being limited in hotels so they should be quieter.
