Has anyone any advice on Empire State rooms vs Compass club rooms?  Similar price for the time we are looking for.  We've stayed a number of times in the Hotel New York and love it, but I know some people find the décor dated and that the Newport Bay is fresher as recently renovated.  But I 'think' there are less Empire State rooms than compass club ones and that perhaps it feels more exclusive?
