I donĀ“t think it makes much sense to take the car. It is a 15 minutes walking distance. This is about the time you need to get to the parking space at the park start your car and leave the parking lot.

Hi, We've done the Cheyenne 3 years in a row and on foot there is. If you walk the official route which is very pretty it takes 15  minutes. However if you walk out of the drive and cross the road turn right you will come to the bus stop by the parks in a matter of minutes. However there is a bus and we took that most days.

The walk along the river and through the village is quite a nice relaxing way to get to the parks, saves fighting to get on the coaches and in November it could be quite refreshing

We smuggled a few rolls out from breakfast and stopped for the kids to feed the fish and ducks

We did this too when we stayed at the cheyenne last year. I wonder how many people do it. Probably why they are so big!
