I'm heading to DLP for the first time in April for 5 days with my wife and 5 yr old.

Some people are telling us to take a buggy for him for when he gets tired other people say not too?

Any help/advice, would be grateful. :)

Buggy!  it's long days, helps speed up the walk back to the hotel etc. quite common to see 5/6 yr olds in them and much easier to take a lightweight stroller with you than pay 15euros a day (and 150euro deposit)

100% buggy. If you dont already have one its worth picking up a cheapie or 2nd hand stroller. It is unlikely to be nicked, you wont be too precious about it getting messy from chocolatey croissants and you can dump it at the airport on your return...not before...CDG is huge!

i went with my 5 yr old in feb and we didnt take a buggy and we were in the parks from 9am to 7pm/8pm each night for 5 nights and she was great. one night she asked for piggy back on the way back to the hotel but that was all. to be honest i found it easier getting through the crowds without a buggy!

We often find the hire buggies abandoned near the exit after the parade as they have had the name card removed and are obviously no longer needed. We 'borrow' one of those for the last few hours for my 5 year old. There was that many at Xmas my 8 year old had one as well!! It just gives them a chance to recharge their batteries and chill out especially if we stay for Dreams.

We went in Feb and my eldest was 5 in November. This was the first time we didn't take a buggy for him  (took one for our 1 year old) and he was fine. We stayed in New York so not to far from the parks. He did sit on his dad's shoulders a few times near the end of the day. Last year we borrowed a double buggy and he definitely needed it then!
