Thanks Rebecca ill keep my eye on it and decide nearer the time I think! Why can it not be easy to decide lol. Are you in the Manchester area Rebecca20? If so how did you find driving to Disney? x

I'm in Yorkshire - Leeds. Luckily there were three adults all of whom can drive so it wasn't too bad at all! I drive a lot for work though and do several trips by car to Jersey so I guess I'm used to the distance. I like the freedom and ease of using the car you can literally pack the kitchen sink.

If it helps I'm going October 12th so I'll report back on the immigration tunnel issues after our visit.

The last time we used the tunnel we were delayed for 2 hours & it had nothing to do with migrants. We are going in the summer to DLP & using the tunnel, its not put us off. It's one of those things I think, just like with airlines & their delays.

I'm taking my daughters on my own, but also do a lot of driving for work, so I don't think the driving will bother me. If you wouldn't mind reporting back how the tunnel is that would be great.

At the min given the costs of the flights, I think I'm going to drive but will make my decision nearer the time.

Just as a note - maybe eurostar is worth a quick check? I'm thinking of going for christmas for a night while in London and prices are £94 at the moment. Worth a try in a worst case scenario.

Buying park snacks and drinks cos you cant bring your own
Just want to correct this common misconception. There is no rule against bringing (moderate quantities of) food and drinks into the parks.

Actually the whole post if read properly was discussing the merits of loading up your own car with goodies from home to take into the parks to save a bit of money rather than flying with only the hand luggage the poster said she was taking therefore having to pay the inflated prices of the park and surrounding shops.

We all know that you can take pretty much what you like to snack on into the park so I'm afraid the only misconception is yours from not reading mine and the previous posts carefully before jumping in with an unecessary snippy comment.
