Hey everyone,

I'm looking to book a visit from 6th-10th Sept 2015 which is moderate season. Having consulted the official price grids (https://my-disneyland.disneylandparis.co.uk/content/GB/EN/Neutral/system/images/price_grids_land_winter_15.pdf), it states that Hotel New York will be £751.56 for 2 adults for 4 nights/5 days. When I look online, I am quoted £820. I am not looking for transport, meal plans or any extras. The early booking offer expires on 9th February so I am well within this.

Does anyone know why the quote online is higher? Is this something that can be negotiated by telephone? Or is it local taxes?

Any help is much appreciated!

Thank you!

At a guess, the website is probably defaulting to a more expensive room.  When the price comes up have you selected different room type?  I think it defaults to a plaza room as opposed to a basic room which would be the lower price.

Think Alberto is correct, when you go online, at the bottom of the accomodation page you can click on "change room type" to get cheaper or more expensive rooms. It usually defaults to a higher standard room if you have a look - which is slightly more expensive.

Just double checked and £820 is for the standard room. Very confusing but I'd rather save myself the £70 if I can. Will give them a call. Thank you!

It's because the prices on the grid are per adult, not per room, plus you are getting the 2 days and nights free deal. So the price you should be looking at is the 2 nights / 3 days price which is £407.28, multiplied by 2 because there are 2 of you is £814.56. Add to this the £1.36 per adult per night local taxes, so 4 x £1.36 = £5.44 comes to exactly £820.00.

Ahh that would make total sense. I think the "based on 2 adults sharing" thing confused me. Thank you very much for explaining!
