My last minute break had to be postponed (we were supposed to arrive today) so we've decided to go during October half term instead.  We'll be arriving on Sunday 27th & leaving Wednesday 30th so we can avoid Halloween as I know that it can be very busy.  I just wanted to know how busy it will be for the dates we've chosen.  We're used to going in November when most rides are walk on so want to be prepared if its going to be unbearable. DD starts school this week so we're now limited to when we can go :0(

It's going to be busier than you are used to, and not walk on for the duration, take advantage of the mornings especially to get the rides you most want done, use Fastpass where you can also and you should be good with being able to get round the park.

However the good news is, it will not be as busy as summer or the week of Christmas. You will miss peak crowds and you'll have good long park opening hours. Especially Monday and Tuesday will be good for park touring
