Why is Disney using the MGM brand for their studios park in Florida. MGM doesn't belong to disney and there is also no attraction which is based on a MGM movie.

I read in an article that the Walt Disney Studios in Paris should named Disney MGM Studios Europe. So why didn't they use MGM in Paris?

I believe the wizard of oz is featured in the great movie ride
(I love that park so much! the only thing I dislike is the big mickey hat blocking the chinese theatre)
