Comparing the number of hotels and rooms available in all Disney resorts around the globe, I really wonder why Disney built seven hotels in Paris. With only three hotels, DLRP would have been a huge success.

That's why the service is so much better at other resorts. It doesn't need 8000 CMs more to improve the service, but it explains why DLRP is behind the other Disney resorts in terms of quality.

The thing is the CMs at DLP don't really seem to care much, I think some need to be trained in the "Disney" way, especially when compared to the much more smiley, professional attitude you seem to get at the other parks.
Although if things had gone to plan DLP would be like this;

Shocking to see how much of a success they though EuroDisney would be, talk about an overestimate.

I didn't know that WestCOT and a fourth park were planned for Euro Disney. WestCOT would have been great and a perfect park for Europe.

I still don't get how TWDC and WDI estimated the number of visitors. According to James B. Stewart's book "Disney War", TWDC used WDW's attendance to calculate the visitor numbers for Paris. They also thought that more Germans and maybe some Eastern European people would come to DLRP, since the cold war was over. Even with those countries seven hotels would have been too many. Unfortunately a recession hit Europe when the park opened, too.

How up to date are those figures? The Disneyland Paris corporate site states 14,500 Cast Members, and I've seen that rounded up to 15,000 in other reports lately.

We positively impact the community by generating more than 56,000 direct, indirect and induced jobs, including over 14,500 employed at the Resort.

well, for magic kingdom parks, dlp should require the most cast members because of the huge size compared to others

All figures on Park CMs are approximations as of May 2009. The reason for this is that Disney took a statistical stock check across the board of everything that year. I'm not sure when the next one will be..
