Unfortunately DLRP doesn't make any money compared to WDW and it doesn't attract as many people to the resort as WDW did back then.

I would be very happy to see one new attraction in each park, like Ratatouille in WDS and ST II or Little Mermaid in DLP, but I doubt it. I think that the Rat will be the only new ride. Hopefully Disney didn't postpone it for another bunch of cheap carnival rides.

i think they should use the mickey's toontown fair buildings from wdw. they get rid of them this year, and dlp's motto is reuse, reuse and then reuse again.

Yeah right, hope you made a joke. thats exactly what i meant with spending money on unless things.
i hope they will never do this... Toon Town is great at Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland, i would not
be happy to see this ugly Toon Town Fair at DLP...

The problem is not reusing stuff, the problem is to commercialise the attractions ect. with Toons for Kids,
so an where is the fun for grown ups? Right now they don´t do anithing against the bad name, disney is a kids park
or better they become one, year after year, it gets less interesting for grown ups. we need more original rides
again, something like phantom manor, pirets etc. without franchize crap...

Maybe DLP would make money if they would start to stop spending money on stuff they don´t need, i would go so far and say they have money, a lot of money. and if its that way, i don´t understand why not pay of the dept or spending it on expansion. but hey, maybe its not enough to fill the pockets of management.

I argee, ST II would be great, it is not as expansive, i would like to see this more than Ratatouille, the attraction looks fun but is again another toon based attraction, and at the moment i am tired of it. they should think about a big retheme of the studios, renovation of the hotels, spending money on quality foot, and more CM to clean up the park.

Last year Philippe Gas, CEO of ED SCA, said in an interview that DLRP has neough money on the side to pay off dept and to finance the expansion.

"Honestly, we have enough cash today to pay our debt, to finance our expansion and to pay for rehabilitation [of current attractions in the park]," highlighted Mr Gas, denying recent speculation that the company came close to breaching banking covenants.

You are so right that DLRP becomes more and more a children park. Disneyland Paris gets less interesting for grown ups from year to year.

the only thing we should expect is a cheap party idea. mickey's swell 20th birthday bash in which the only change is that it all has new decorations and this time we will even have new meet and greets with some random new character that we want people to like so that we can make some money and hopefully make a profit by our 50th birthday.

...

but muppetvision would be relatively easy. they can build it quick enough and they just have to do dubbed versions in french every hour

I would simply be happy with a full refurb to get all the effects working again/things like the ship refurbed; bring back the level of entertainment they had before, and restore the food quality. Also the hotels need refurbing and modernising, but I am very pleased with the job they are doing on the Sequoia Lodge.
since 2001 (many before that)

I agree that Muppetvision would be a brilliant addition, and you could work it into the Imagination Institute storyline to replace Captain EO too. Just say that it's the Muppets showcasing the newest 3D technology created by Muppet Labs. You could even tie it in with Muppet Mobile Labs visiting the park for a season. The new Muppet movie would be out by then, so kids would be more aware (a nice marketing opportunity). Sure it'd water down Discoveryland a bit but it's no worse than HISTA was, and once they have the audio animatronics, they could re-use them in a purpose built area in Studios should Muppetvision 3D 2 go into production as proposed for California Adventure phase 2!

Otherwise I'd love it to be Disneyland Paris 20th Anniversary - From The Beginning. And turn back the park to how it was in 1992 for a year, re-introduce lost entertainment, open up closed shops/restaurants and get back the atmosphere!

Obviously there'd be a hub show, so I'd love to see a One Man's Dream style show, but using the Steamboat Willie Mickey which helms the ship at the end of Fantasmic! Have him open the show as a nod to Walt's origins, then using Castle based fireworks (and the return of flying Tink!) have a show charting the history of Disneyland, area music etc. Something classy that shows respect for the most original Kingdom in the world!

Muppet*Vision is good, but it's the last attraction Disneyland Paris needs right now. The Muppets today aren't as popular as they once were (when Jim Henson and Frank Oz were performing), and the Muppet*Vision 3D film is now 20 years old! There's quite a lot of dialogue in the film and a lot of jokes that totally depend on it, so it wouldn't work particularly well with European audiences.

Mickey's PhilharMagic would be a better 3D film to bring to the Walt Disney Studios, but even that is to starting to show it's age, as it's 8 years old already! The CGI characters don't look as impressive as they did back in 2003, and the film projection seems dated when local cinemas are now projecting digitally.

Is that beleiveable? Or is he just saying it to keep investor conference up? If they could, why didn't they?
For no real reason I don't trust that man.

Quote from: "mattboywonder"I'd love to see them do something like a special limited run version of 'Phantom Manor' using the soundtrack recorded by Vincent Price that was orignally intended for the park.
What soundtrack is that? I didnt know he made more than one.

Vincent Price was going to be the voice of the "Ghost Host" of PM and recorded the entire ride soundtrack.  I have read that it was use initially but because the powers that be decreed that attractions should be in French, it was pulled.  Now the actual ride itself doesn't feature any dialogue.
Check this out to listen to a ful 20 minute recording

What they could bring in 2012 to disneyland park is a new Show at Discoveryland.
High Quality like they had in the 90´s or like The Legend of the Lion King.
One Interesting Show i would love to see is "Believe" a Show created for the new Disney Dream Cruis Ship.

From Inside The Magic
QuoteOn the surface, "Believe" is a similar show to "The Golden Mickeys." At the beginning, a story and new characters are introduced, and these characters then take the audience through a series of scenes from Disney animated films. But "Believe" has plenty of uniqueness in that it tends to stick to less commonly-heard songs. Where "The Golden Mickeys" has "Under the Sea," "You've Got a Friend in Me," and "Cruella DeVil," prominently-featured songs in "Believe" include "Step in Time," "Bare Necessities," and "Gonna Take You There," among others. If you don't recognize all the songs, don't worry, as they're pulled from the slightly more obscure songbook from Disney classic films.

It all begins with a gardner worrying about his new species of flower as his daughter, Sophia, celebrates her birthday with excitement about a new magic wand she has received:

The dad promises Sophia that they'll spend some birthday time together later, but at the moment he needs to prepare his special new flower for presenting to a flower society -- or something. Sophia insists that magic and a bit of pixie dust will help her father's flower while he assures her that magic is not real and only science will do the job. The duo then erupt into song, singing what is presumably titled "What Makes the Garden Grow," as they repeat that line many times throughout the 3-minute number.

The song and characters are a bit tough to take in at the top of the show, as they're not within the usual Disney world that's so familiar to the watching audience. Sophia's voice, intentionally childlike and high-pitched, borders on shrill at times, and the father's performance and characterization is quite reminiscent of Barry Bostwick's Brad in "Rocky Horror." It's not until roughly 7 minutes into the show that anything Disney shows up.

But once the Disney begins, it begins in full force, with the introduction of the always-over-the-top-in-a-good-way Genie from Aladdin:

To assure the father that he is really an all-powerful Genie and not just a prank, he breaks into the obligatory "Friend Like Me" number:

But this is not the Aladdin musical at the Disney California Adventure theme park. The all-amusing Genie takes the father on a journey through magical Disney scenes, only occasionally firing jokes at contemporary non-Disney topics (like Madonna's newfound not-so-British accent). As the show progresses, the Genie conjures up characters and scenes not often seen on stage, beginning with Merlin from The Sword in the Stone:

Mary Poppins follows by flying in via umbrella, but after an abridged version of "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious," she's joined by Bert and other chimney sweeps for a dance-filled performance of the film's less famous song, "Step in Time":

The audience is later treated to a unique performance of "Bare Necessities" by a walking, talking, and blinking Baloo:

But the highlight of "Believe," for me, is the sequence from The Princess and the Frog. The film may have been Disney's return to traditional hand-drawn animation, but this live-action scene is filled with energetic performers and toe-tapping jazz:

Even Princess Tiana's friend Charlotte makes an appearance:

Of course, a show about Disney magic called "Believe" wouldn't be complete without a few Disney Princesses

By the show's conclusion, the characters -- and the audience -- believe in Disney magic, as it has been created in a stage performance fit for Broadway, but currently enjoyed in the Caribbean.

Quote from: "Festival Disney"I noticed the Mission 2 poster peeling back in December... they still haven't fixed it!?!?! The cannon should atleast have smoke, I hold no hope for the recoil action anymore  :(
As for the Cartons and the rest of the sh*t that idiots throw into the water features, I see no reason why the cleaning crew can't reach this crap with their litter pickers, or even a long pole of sorts... I think eurodisney need to get a different overnight cleaning company in to be perfectly honest... The one they have doesn't get the park up to the Disney standard.
Mission 2'poster was peeling in April !!!!

Here's an idea for the Halloween events.  How about adding a Phineas and Ferb themed "Agent P's Top Secret Dance Party" on the Not-So-Scary Party nights.  The show is popular world wide, and would introduce new characters (Phineas, Ferb and Perry the Platypus - a/k/a Agent P) to Europe.

Isn't a small children's show? That kind of thing is fine on something like Playhouse Disney but I'm not sure something like that would work on a bigger stage as the majority of the audience wouldn't have a clue what it is and wouldn't want to. I have a 3 year old son and in our house this show has never gone on. I think if they are going to use film or TV franchises I'd prefer them to be ones with a bigger mass appeal and not just to little kids.
