New York Hotel - is an upgrade to Empire State Club worth it?
« on: August 28, 2016, 05:58:25 PM »
Really hoping someone here can help me make my mind up! We are planning our next trip to DLP and are currently weighing up whether it's worth upgrading to an Empire State Club room, instead of a standard room. Can anyone fill me in on any extra perks not mentioned on the website? So far Ive seen they have a separate check in and breakfast area, and a lounge which offers refreshments but not sure this makes the extra cash worth it. Help!

Apart from the more quiet breakfast area and lounge access one perk is your Hotel Fastpass.
Basically it's one fast pass per day per person that can be redeemed at any fast pass enabled attraction (with a few hours of lock-out in the afternoon).
Useful if you don't feel like getting up early to score said fast passes.

For us it was heaven, ESC.
If you had any stupid question, they were there to help you out immediately.
Relaxed breakfast was very good.
Also we came back to the hotel every day in the afternoon, just for something to drink and relax a little bit, eat a free snack. To get back to the parcs afterwards.

I don't know if i would do ESC again though, we still had the VIP fastpasses in april. I would rather go to sequoia lodge, golden forest.
