October Packing
« on: April 28, 2015, 06:07:54 PM »
I am getting excited and will be there on a solo trip from the states starting October 17 (I know in school break for UK but I've done spring break at WDW so we will persevere).

What to plan on for packing is my question - will I need a winter coat?  Scarves, gloves, hat?  I have been checking the weather sites but no one seems to agree.

It can really vary in October. For example, we stayed 5 days last October, and one day we had to purchase some scarves / gloves / hats because we got really chilly, but then literally the next day we were wandering around in t-shirts in lovely warm autumn sunshine. I'd say pack a hoodie / sweater or two (or better yet, budget to buy a new one when there) and pack a waterproof coat in case it turns wet, but it rarely gets wintery cold in October  :)

I agree, take a wet weather coat and a jumper or hoodie. Also, take enough clothes so you have "spares" in case you get a downpour and get soaked

Thanks all - looks like I should go with Fall/Wet wardrobe with a few warm pieces tossed in just in case.

We always take layers to peel off or put on and a Minnie Mouse rain poncho-have a great trip!
