Booked the wrong Hotel
« on: September 29, 2014, 08:11:29 PM »
I've managed to book the wrong Hotel.Does anyone know if it is possible to switch hotels? I've booked direct with DisneyHolidays.co.uk and wondering if anyone knows if it would be possible to change.

Thanks in advice

I dont know what you mean, but I can tell you that I have changed hotels before, you are just expected to pay the price difference if the new hotel is more costly.
You will not recieve a refun if your new hotel is cheaper.
It will also depend whether the new hotel has the capacity to take your party.
Out of interest, where are you currently booked and where are you wanting to move to? :)

Hiya, so long as there's rooms available in your chosen hotel there should be no problem with changing. The charges will depend on the date your due to go as fees vary, the sooner your going the higher the costs may be. Your probably looking at a minimum of £50 plus any difference in cost. If the new hotel is less expensive and you've already paid the full balance, I would look to add extras with that extra money rather than lose it. If you've only paid a deposit and there's no travel included, you may have to surrender your deposit and rebook, but without knowing more about your situation, it's hard to say.

Is it deffinately disneyholidays.co.uk that you have booked with? If so, they are an agent and not the direct Disney company. Disneylandparis.co.uk is the direct site, and are a bit more flexible.

Let us know how you got on, I hope you got it sorted  :)

Thanks for the replies

I was planning on going to Santa Fe Hotel but booked Sequoia Lodge by mistake. I had two tabs open to compare the prices and forgot to double check on the Hotel I selected. I also ordered Half Board Plus as well which I was going to do with the Santa Fe Hotel.

I booked it with disneyholidays.co.uk as I got told their prices seem cheap and they're Disney's official holiday specialist. There is not much difference in the price only like £110 but being a gap year student is hard.  I only booked the Hotel as I will book the flights via BA at a later date. I also only paid a deposit. I'm going at the beginning of February as well.

Thank in advice

If you can afford to keep your booking, I would stick with the sequoia lodge! It's a lovely hotel, has a pool with hot tub for relaxing after a long day in the park and  it's closer to the park! 😊

Yeah, I think I will. I've been told I would of had to pay a fee or something and then the price would just of been £30 difference.

I agree, stick with your mistaken booking. Honestly its not much more money for a huge difference in the disney experience. Your love it there  :)

The best bet would be for you to ring them and ask them.  Only they will be able to give you a definite answer with details of any extra charges etc.

Incidentally I agree with the FMs who've said to stick with your original booking - I love Sequoia Lodge.  The woody grounds are beautiful and the rooms have a mild Bambi theme - nothing garish just light touches - and this fits in well with the hotel theme.
