Hi looking for some advice this will be our fifth family trip to dlrp and we were thinking of taking a day trip into paris, anyone have any tips or advice on how to go about doing this?

When we went this April my mother and mother-in-law did this and book with the Concierge desk at our hotel the day we arrived at Disney they did the  Magical Day Tour of Paris which was City tour + Eiffel Tower (up to the second level) + cruise (food  not included) had free time to walk around the outside of the Louvre, you would have to pay to go into the Louvre, which they didn't .  The tour was around £70 each. They said it was good but a long day and they then caught the train from Disneyland into Paris on their own the next day.

Other tour options are available, but the concierge should help you with this.

Hope this is a little help  ;)

That's what we made last year:
Catch RER A (A4) from Disney Village, it takes ca. 30 minutes to the centre of Paris.

We got off on stop Auber, it is near the opera.
From there we took the hop-on-hop-off bus (we used this company http://www.city-sightseeing.com/tours/france/paris.htm )
It is a great trip through hall Paris, you see buildings, streets, places that you can not manage to see on foot for one day. You can get off to lock at a church or something else and than take the bus again. It is in the price.

Last september we just took the train from Disney village into paris. Buy a ticket (cant remember the name.....) there which you can use all day for all public transport. It's really easy to do. We went to see eiffeltower, sacre coeur, arc de triomph. This time we are doing the same but two days in stad of one.
For a lot of things you can Buy tickets online, for example eiffeltower. You can buy it for a certain time, so you dont have to wait. Like a fastpass at Disney ;)
